"I don't want to live here anymore. I've been attacked by Zyanya at least 20 times now!" Sky whispers, glancing at Zyanya's door.
"I thought she'd be able get herself under control by now," I sigh.
"It's been a year, dad! Face it, what you did to her won't get better. Do you know what it's like having to sleep in the same room as her. She talks to herself! It's always an argument!" Sky retaliates, throwing a fist onto the table. I look up at my son, his words finally dawning on me.
"Do you really want to leave?" I ask, my voice breaking slightly.
"Dad, I've been alive for less than a year, but look like I'm 20. If that means I have a short life span, I don't want to live it in fear," He sighs, playing with the jewel in his amulet.
"I wish you wouldn't, but if you believe it's the best choice, then you may go. Zyanya and I will visit you every now and then. And don't let anyone know your my son. I've done some things in my life that the humans would gladly get revenge for," I reply.
"Ok. And dad, I'm proud to be your son," Sky says, hugging me and heading for the Nether portal.
"Wait, Sky! I-I want you to have this!" I yell, pulling a gold sword out of a display, "I know how much you like gol-butter. And you've been eyeing this sword for some time now. I want you to have it, to remember me by,"
"Thanks...dad. I won't forget you guys," Sky sighs, leaping through the portal.
I'll probably add another chapter later today.
