Beasts

There is barely hope left for this wretched world
Our deepest desires and darkest doors remain closed and untold

With poetry as the only true salvation to humankind
But it is the money that occupies the mind

So much greed and sorrow has taken over us all
The poor wanting the rich to fall and the rich wanting the poor to crawl

Yet the world's nature fights not back
Because even though we are all humans, humanity is at lack
We behave ourselves more like beasts on tar
But perhaps that is what we actually are

Sorry for not updating in a while, exams are coming up. This was just something that popped into my mind during English
