You're the only one who read my feelings while others fall for the laughs
You're the only one who looked into my happy eyes and saw the sorrow
You're the only one who noticed my pain
You're the only one who knows everything in this situation
But the others...
They don't
They don't know because I don't let them
Because I don't want them to know
Because it will screw things up further
But you know
You know every bit of this
You know what my little cuts look like and where I hide them
You know what damage I do
You know how hurt I am so thank you
Thank you for knowing
Thank you for noticing
Thank you for motivating me and not giving up on me
Thank you for always being there for me.
And I know there are a lot of self harmers out there
People who feel so alone and empty
Over a certain situation, maybe not just one.
I know there are people who are popular but secretly depressed
I know there are people who don't get noticed, who feel they have talent but think it's just something everyone can do
I know there are others who feel the way I feel
So please just get up
Please just put the razor or kinife or scissor down
Please do me a favor
Smile
I know you're hurt
No matter how small
But smile
Relax and close your eyes for a while
Just smile
