I'm giving Inktober a go for the first time!
I know Wattpad isn't really the place to post art but me and @phoenixsong870 decided we should do this so here I go.

So for Swing I decided to draw a tire swing. When I decided on a tire rather than a wood seat or anything. It reminded me of the Boy in the Striped Pajamas because they make a tire swing to stop the boy from exploring. I started thinking of a noose too (I almost did a second version with a noose replacing the tire but I thought that'd be a bit much) so there's a lot of darkness to this one. I thought about trying to make the background at least a little grey but I thought that'd be a little too much and would ruin the whole thing if it didn't go well.
After really trying to get movement into the other pieces I love the stillness and lack of life in this one. I quite like how the tree turned out after not liking it when I was drawing it. Using the pen was frustrating because of the white areas it was leaving behind but it looks good now it's on the photo as highlights and shadowing, there's probably other trees near by. The rope came out pretty well.

The tire (the literal centerpiece) doesn't look 3D or particularly like a tire and the grass doesn't look much like grass. I wanted the grass to be dead under the tire's shadow but I also wanted it overgrown so that was a bit conflicting.
The Wii Sports Baseball scene that was my other option would've been much more fun but it's the month of Halloween so I hope you liked the creepy, abandoned tire swing on a tree.
Next Pattern.
I have no idea. I'm thinking Tartan, Scotland, maybe some kind of dedication to the Liverpool player Andy Robertson. It'll probably be back to digital, yay!
