So this was a disaster. I was working on recreating this skull and raven when my laptop froze and all I could do was take a picture of the screen before I turned it off since I hadn't saved at all. My brother tried to see if he could find a save of some kind but there isn't one. There's no auto save with this program, about 3 hours of drawing the best skull I've ever drawn all gone and you can't see it cos I moved up t focus on the bloody bird. I'm getting mad again.

He's gotten me a new system that hopefully can cope with the very stressful situation of watching youtube videos / internet browsing - damn that video essay I was watching, I'm not even interested in watching Fleabag. Now we've got that set up I definitely don't feel like doing any more drawing today, not that I ever wanted to continue it after the freeze.

All through the challenge I thought I should've been including my reference pictures

All through the challenge I thought I should've been including my reference pictures. This is what I managed to get an image of. The skull was so good, the best I've ever done and only me and my dog will ever see it! The raven's shape was really coming along far better than my usual birds.

I didn't get the shape of the back of the skull right

I didn't get the shape of the back of the skull right. I wasn't sure I was happy with the shadowy lines I'd done. The raven's head is at a different angle to the picture but maybe I would've changed it or maybe I wanted it like that I don't know anymore. The talons are a bit too the point the weight is on but again, wasn't remotely done. I was going to try drawing a black rose if the raven turned out well. I did like 3 hours of work without saving, so, so mad.

Next coat

I'm imagining a toddler with their coat and wellies splashing around in some muddy puddles. That might be a fun one.
