Chapter 8: The Unusual Mermaid

Valka's pov:

The camp wasn't so bad, I do have plenty of new friends and I finally got over my fear of singing in front of people. Ingrid started to show me around the camp which was so beautiful. I saw someone out on the lake "Who is that?" I asked Ingrid. "Oh that's Ursula. She's the daughter of Possitain and she's a mermaid." explained Ingrid. I saw that she could use a friend so I walked over to her "Hi, I'm Valka." I said to her. She turned around to face me but she had a shy look on her face "Don't worry, I won't hurt you." I said.

She gave me a small smile "Glad to see that there is one person I can trust." she said to me. We started talking about our pasts and our powers, she told me that after her mother was killed her father forbids her to sing except to guide sailors to their doom. I felt sorry for her and she felt sorry for me when I shared my past. Ursula wasn't even scared of my powers and I thought that her voice was so beautiful. Ursula then jumped into the lake and her mermaid tail began to show "Come on in, I want to show you my world." she said.

I wanted to join her but I couldn't hold my breath underwater for that long then she pulled out a small potion and sprayed some onto me. I was now underwater but as a mermaid "That was a special mermaid potion that can turn anyone into a mermaid." Ursula explained. Ursula showed me how to work my tail and showed me the entire lake. It was so beautiful, I didn't want it to end but we had to need back. Ursula used another potion to turn us back into humans then we raced to the main cabin.

Fairy Godmother was having Ursula perform for the camp, I couldn't wait to hear her voice. I joined up with Ingrid and Arianna then Ursula came up onto the small stage and singed. 

Ursula:

Everyone had cheered for her as she made her way off of the stage "That was amazing Ursula." I said. She blushed as we both headed out, then I saw Viggo walking over towards me "Hey Valka." he said to me. I was blushing bad but managed to keep it hidden then Viggo asked me if he wanted to hang out tomorrow night. I agreed to it then he left "You finally got the courage to say yes to him?" Ursula asked me. I let out a small chuckle then left for my cabin. Fairy Godmother found me and wanted me and Viggo to do a special duet for Family Day.

I wasn't sure if I could do it but then again I do have a date with him tomorrow night so I would tell him then. I told the girls the news and boy were they shocked, they told me that it was going to be hard since Eva is Viggo's fiance "Well she doesn't scare me." I said. But I would also be meeting Viggo's family for the first time, I really hope they like me.
