Quick AN: We're back in the daycare world for this chapter! Enjoy!
Austin was worried out of his mind. First Michael and Ritchie had gone missing and now Brandon was gone as well. While he was relieved that it hadn't been his own kids, he couldn't help but worry about the boys. All three were his godsons after all and he cared about them like they were his own, especially since he had become a werewolf again.
He sighed. He had to focus back on the other kids, make sure that none of them went missing too. Michael and Ritchie's fathers were on the case and if they couldn't figure it out, they had the connections to get someone who could. The boys would be fine. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully.
"Daddy?" He looked down at his youngest daughter, Kandy. His quietest but also one of his smartest children next to Evan and Athena.
"Yes, sweetheart?" Austin asked with a tired smile.
"Awe you ok?" She asked with a look of innocent concern in her eyes.
"Daddy's fine, sweetheart, just a little worried about Michael, Ritchie, and Brandon, that's all." Austin reassured her.
"Was Bwandon the one with the weiwd tawot cawds?" Kandy asked innocently.
"Tarot cards?" He knew it had been a while since he had seen Brandon but he didn't think his oldest godson was messing with something like that.
"Uh huh, that older kid was flipping through tawot cawds while he was here." Kandy nodded.
Austin groaned covering his face with his hands. He knew tarot cards. Those things were so dangerous. Simply because if you didn't understand them, they could plunge the world into chaos with just a quick read. What could Brandon even be-
He shot straight up, startling Kandy slightly, even as he ran from the front desk over to the elevator. All of the children and Bri looked over at him in confusion but the only ones who actually followed him were Kandy and Brady (who was curious).
He ran up to the room, no one was there. They were going through his security footage to see what exactly could have happened but no one was physically inspecting the room at that moment in time. Kandy and Brady filed in behind him, looking curiously at their father as he examined the bed closer than before.
He looked over the obvious, the top of the bedspread, the bars, and such before he decided to check underneath the bed. There wasn't much under there either... Then a tiny hand reached under the bed as well and pulled out a card that he hadn't noticed before.
He turned to see Brady holding the card even as Kandy was peering over his arm to get a good look at it.
"Huh, I've never seen a pokemon card like this." Brady commented.
"It's a tawot cawd, Bwady, they do weiwd stuff." Kandy told him.
"Like what?" Brady asked looking confused as he turned the card around as if that would reveal its secrets.
"Brady, I really don't think you should mess with that." Austin said, wary as he couldn't see the face of the card.
"Why not? Its not like it could really hurt anything." Brady said swinging the card so that Austin couldn't take it, unknowingly brushing said card against something.
Austin sighed and finally sat back, willing to just try and reason with Brady. At least that was until Brady brought the card back in front of him and it was glowing slightly. All three pairs of eyes went wide.
"Brady, give me the card." Austin ordered and Brady was quick to do so but before the card could be handed over a blue portal started to form. With a yelp, Brady fell into the portal, making Austin gasp in horror. "Brady!"
"Big Bwother!" Kandy cried in horror before she got the bright idea to follow him in.
"Kandy!" Austin couldn't just sit there. He couldn't. He jumped in after them, he wasn't going to lose two of his children, especially not after having lost all three of his godsons.
And that's when everything went dark for Austin.
