By running-on-fanfictionIt had been flowing through your head all day. Ever since last night, when Edi, starting talking about marriage and kids. The thought of marrying your best friend was a giddy feeling for you, but it was the kid part you weren't so sure of.
You had spent your life trying to understand why or if you were really sure you didn't want kids. You grew up hearing from your mom, aunts, friends, and what not's that a woman was made to have kids. If she didn't have kids then it was a waste, but to you having kids seemed like a headache.
It's not like you didn't like kids, because you did! You loved watching your niece's and nephews, but the good thing about them is at the end of the day they went home. If you had a kid, you couldn't just send them home. Home was with you, and that didn't really make you feel happy.
However, you didn't really know if you wanted to get marry either. You saw your friends or family members who were married and wondered why. What was the whole point of marriage. The same last name? Being able to claim everything once the other died? Why did you have to get married to be happily together.
You could see yourself marring, Edi, but you could also see yourself not.
"Earth to Y/N." Edinson laughed as you seemed to come back to live. You two were at a small cafe, the sound of people didn't help the thoughts in your head.
"I don't want kids or marriage!" You yelled out of nowhere.
Edi, looked at you, like you were some mental patient. Like one word would break you. The sound around you, died down. Did you really yell that loud? The next thing you knew you were home. Your breath heavy. You had ran all the way home from the cafe.
Pulling out your phone, you saw ten text messages and twenty missed calls. You couldn't remember anything after the yelling. You didn't remember leaving the cafe. You didn't remember running home and you certainly didn't remember walking into the house.
"There you are!" Edi, sighed the relief oozing off him as he saw your red face. He placed his keys on the table, as he walked closer to you. That's when you started to cry.
You cried so hard that you passed out. When you woke up it was night, and there was no site of your boyfriend. Great, he left you, you thought. You pulled the covers up to your chin, before pulling his pillow to your nose. You breathed in his scent, as you thought of the first time you met him.

"Oi, let go you dick!" You yelled pulling on your bag. The local bully boy pulled on the other side.
He had been giving you shit all week and you wanted nothing more then to punch him in the balls. He pulled harder, causing the bag to rip a little. The little rip turned into a bigger one, causing all your school stuff to fall into the snow.
Rage, covered your eyes, as you looked at the ripped bag. That was the bag your grandpa gave you before he died.
"You're fucking dead!" You screamed as you leaped on the bully. You started pounding on him.
Edi, would later on tell you how it looked like the scene from "A Christmas Story" where Ralphie went nuts on the bully, cussing and punching and hitting.
"Hey, hey, hey." The sweet voice, mumbled in your ear as he pulled you off the boy. He held you tight as you two watched the bully, run away crying.
"Yeah, you better run asshole!" You shouted, watching him cry and run. Falling every once in a while.
Once out of view, the arms around you let you go. You turned to see the new kid. You had yet to met him, and you were sure you had scared him off, but you didn't.
"You have a great right hook, there." He smiled, as he bent down to gather your stuff.
If only you knew that, that shit moment in your life, that had gotten you in so much trouble, would end with a life long best friend.

You were so lost in the smell that you did't feel the tears fall again.
"I lost him." You cried to yourself.
"No, you didn't." His sweet soft voice filled your ears as you looked up at his face. He smiled at you as he placed a warm mug in your hands. Sitting down on his side if the bed, before taking a sip of his own mug.
"I'm sorry." You mumbled as you sat up.
"For what? For being truthful?" He asked his face was soft, there was no hint of anger or dismay.
"I know that you want that life. I know you want kids and a wife. And you deserve it." You started trying so hard not to cry again. Edi, watched you with emotionless eyes.
"I love you, Edi. So if you leave me, I get it." You hung you head low, watching the liquid in the cup. You felt two fingers guide your head back up.
"I do want kids and I do want to get married." He stated. You felt your heart drop. "But, I love you more. As long as I have you, I don't care. "I rather have you then a wife and kids."
"You promise?"
"I promise." He smiled kissing your lips. "Losing you would hurt far more then then kids and a wife."
