It was a usual Monday, she was making dinner, her hips swinging from side to side as she listened to the music. Walking from the kitchen to the balcony as she brings out the plates to serve on the table. Grabbing some pillows and blankets on her way, in case the weather gets cold in the evening.

It's been a while since she had time to make a proper dinner. Ever since they moved houses everything has been a mess. They've been here for over a month and boxes were still piled up ready to be unpacked. She had this great plan that they would get everything done in a couple of weeks. but oh boy was she wrong.

The furniture that she liked didn't fit, so they spent quite some time redecorating the place. Roman being as involved as his wife, always joining her on the trips to furniture stores. Although when preseason started for Roman she was left alone, and she began to stress too much. Roman being the only person to calm her down, face-timing her every day at least twice.

He would let her speak the frustration out because he knew, that bottling it up would only make more damage to her health. Some teammates made fun of him when he was searching for chairs and sofas while having dinner with his team, but he didn't care. Always replying to them with a simple, "You know how it is. Happy wife happy life".

Even the fact that he cared made her calmer. So with him now back in Germany the couple had made quite some progress in creating their dream home. She didn't even hear Roman coming home. "I love how you talk to yourself every time you've lost in your thoughts", he teased her while kissing her shoulder as she playfully pushes him away. "Go away stinky feet! Take a shower." She gives him a couple of kisses before he's out of the kitchen and running upstairs.

Everyone used to tell them, that as soon as they get married the love will fade, and they would fall into a basic routine. It still felt like the first week of dating to them. They still went to bed all cuddled up, and they would sleep through the night while holding each other, shy smiles once in a while and endless messages and phone calls while being away. They were sure that their life got better and better with every passing day.

She was lighting up the candles when he appeared in the balcony, a big smile on his face. It was one of those calm evenings, the ones that just flout with ease. There was no reason to rush, and they enjoyed every little moment. They talked about a lot of stuff. His upcoming games, how she might come with him and spend some time with his family in Switzerland. Also, her work and the fact that she finally got an opportunity to work from home. Giving her a chance to support Roman in the stadium more often. He kissed her hand once in a while listened about her trip to the shopping center. Not paying much attention as he got lost in the sound of her voice.

They cleaned the dishes together messing in the kitchen as he splashes her with the water, and they ended up running around like two kids, but soon settling down in the balcony on the big sofa. Her head resting on his chest as he slowly runs his fingers through her hair. Comfortable silence surrounding them as they watched the sunset.

"I found something today while unpacking", she slowly sits up and Roman raises his eyebrows. "Give me a moment I'll bring it to you", when she comes back he gets even more confused a pretty big box in her hands.

"Is this your way of telling me that I should clean?", he laughed but she just shook her head. She nudged him to open it. He ripped the top of the box and immediately got faced by his old burgundy jersey. "No way!", he laughed.

He gave her this jersey on their first date. Roman brought it up to the restaurant and just gave it to her after a long moment of uneasy silence. It kind of became like a joke between them. A burgundy jersey, that got him a girl. She also wore it on every single match day and when it got lost during the move Roman was more than upset. She suggested buying a new one, but he said that it just wouldn't feel the same, so when she found it, she instantly knew that Roman would be over the moon.

"You can finally wear it again. Where did you find it?", he was moving the jersey in his hands searching for a black line left by her eyeliner that she dropped while getting ready once. "In the box with all the stuff for the bathroom", she laughs, "But dig deeper in the box there's something else."

"If you found that pink hoodie as well I'll start to believe that you have magical powers", he laughed going back to the box again. Roman pulls out another thing, that looked like a little piece of clothing in the same color as his jersey. He unfolds it quickly and for a second the world stops around him. Roman was holiday a little version of his jersey with daddy writing on the back.

He was speechless, he didn't dare to move. "Roman..", his wife's voice filled his ears, and Roman finally raised his eyes to look at her. She was sitting in front of him with teary eyes but the biggest smile on her face. Everyone knew how badly they wanted to have a family of their own. That was topic number one since they got married.

"Please tell me that you're not joking...", she was shaking her head and giggling. Not trusting her words as she got even more emotional. He pushed everything to the side going straight to hug her. His hands a little shaky as they swinged from side to side until he couldn't take it any more excitement filling his body, and he starts spinning her around. She lest out a little scream as she holds onto him tightly.

"I'm going to be a dad! We're going to have a baby!", he screams at the top of his lounges, and she's only laughing. He comes closer taking her face in his hands. "I told you, that burgundy jersey brings me luck"; Roman smile at her one more time before they get lost in a passionate kiss. The world from now one was changed forever.
