FETUS COLDRAIN <3

Masato's POV

I couldn't contain the smile as I watched Katsuko lying there, fast asleep next to me. I felt like I could lay here all day just watching her sleep, so peaceful, her lips parted just a little.

Last night had been amazing, both of us lying in bed, our fingers playing with the others, just talking. That's all we did, talk, about the band and about the family she loved and missed. Although my heart sank for her, it was plain as day as she spoke how much she missed her family.

I understood what it was like to miss your family. I missed my brother, his wife, and my nephew every day. However, he'd lived out there for years now, and I'd adjusted, she'd only been living in Nagoya for a couple of months. She felt that feeling tenfold, like a fresh wound. I believed her when she said she was happy here, but it didn't mean she missed home.

I carefully turned over to look at the clock; the red LED lights telling me it was just after ten AM. It was easily three AM by the time we'd fallen asleep, so I turned back over, grabbing my phone, deciding to let her sleep some more.

I shot a text to Ryo explaining what had happened, but assuring him, she was with me and okay.

I was surprised when he replied almost instantly.

Thank you for looking after her; I knew you would. Are you free for lunch?

I replied saying I was free once I got Katsuko to her friends to collect her spare key and dropped her home, I'd text him once I had.

Just as I was about to put my phone down, Kat's eyes flickered open, and she looked at me with a sleepy smile.

"Morning." She mumbled.

"Morning beautiful, how did you sleep?"

"Hmm, really good, you?"

"Same." I chuckled, putting my phone back on my bedside before I pulled her close to me. "Hangover?"

"Not really, my throat feels drier than the desert, but I'm good. However, I could eat as much as Goku, Ichigo, Naturo, Luffy, and Natsu could combined right now."

I couldn't help but laugh at the way she'd expressed her hunger, "That's a lot of food, Kitty Kat, and I mean a lot. Tell you what, let's get ready, you can take a shower if you want, I'll take you to breakfast before we go to your friends?"

"Hmm, that sounds good to me."

"So...fuck my cousin?" Ryo looked at me, amused as he sat on the other end of the couch.

"What?! No! What the hell, dude?"

Ryo burst out laughing, "I'm just messing with you, I know you're not like that. What I do know, though, is you like her and don't even try and bullshit me. I came out wondering why you two were outside so long, and I saw you macking on her like a damn big mac."

My mouth dropped as my eyes went wide, "Dude, it was just, we-"

Ryo held his hand up and shook his head, "Do you remember the other day, when you first met her, I shook my head and called you an idiot when she left?"

"Yeah?"

"I was calling you an idiot because you didn't hug her or anything, and she wanted you too. She likes you too. I know my cousin well enough. She might be my cousin, but she's a sister to me at the same time. You're a good guy, Masato, and she's an amazing girl. If you two want to date, or whatever, you have my blessing."

"Ryo, I don't think that's smart. Come on; you know how busy we're about to get if this album kicks off. We're hardly going to be home; she doesn't deserve that."

"No, what she does deserve is a good guy, who loves her and wouldn't hurt her. She deserves someone who will make the efforts, no matter how hard it got. She deserves to be loved by someone who would find every way possible to make it work. What she doesn't deserve is a fucking asshole like her ex. That's the only thing she doesn't deserve."

"What happened with her ex?" I asked curiously.

"It's not my place to say, dude. But let's just say, you remember those couple of days were I was raging?" I nodded, Ryo spent a good few days in a rage about eight months ago. He never told us what was wrong, only that Katsuko was upset, and he wanted to fly out to her, but couldn't because we were on tour. "He's why. I'd love to take hold of him and beat him until he's begging me to kill him."

I could tell by the look on his face, whatever had happened was bad, and that equally angered me. The thought of someone hurting her made me mad, beyond mad for that fact. I wanted to know, but Ryo was right, it wasn't his place to tell me. If Kat wanted me to know, she'd tell me herself. "Is he part of the reason she moved here?"

"Yeah, but that's all I'm saying on the subject. Just ask her out on a date, for the love of God. We're home for the next six months, writing and recording. Okay, you're off to America for a week, and we have the odd show here and there but, ask her out. Get to know her; then, when our next tour starts in six months, you two can decide whether what you have is worth it. If not, then well, at least I know she has a friend like you who'd protect her as much as I would. I know you well, Masato, don't let your worries about those kinds of things get in the way of you being happy. If in six months you both feel you have something worth fighting for, then you'll fight for it."

I sighed as I relaxed back against the couch; he was right. It was the ideal time to see if anything more could become of Kat and me. I'd be away for no more than a week, and she could always come to a couple of shows with us. I know Ryo would love to have her join us, I'm sure the others would too. And the time was long enough for both of us to be sure how we felt about the other, and know if whatever we had was strong enough to handle the trials we'd face.

"You're right."

"Damn right I am, so pick up your phone, call her and ask her out on a proper date. Otherwise, I'll do it for you."

"All right, I'm doing it." I chuckled, as I pulled my phone from my pocket and finding her number which I'd thankfully got from her earlier. I took a deep breath, nerves bubbling as I pressed call.
