Waking the next morning Lexi was afraid to move her head. Lucy gently nudged her hand in a sign that she needed to go out. Bracing herself she gently sat up waiting for the room to start spinning as it had the night before. Thankful that she didn't feel sick she stood up and quickly threw on some clothes.

Heading to the kitchen to put on her wellies she found Liz sat at the table a glass of water in front of her a packet of pain killers resting in her hands. She looked up as they both entered and leant down to stroke Lucy's head as she nudged her leg.

"Morning Hun" Lexi said as she picked up Lucy's lead from the hook. " How are you feeling?"

"Not as bad as I thought" Liz said as she sipped more of her water.

"I'll be back in a moment, just need to take Lucy out for her morning walk. She won't give in until she's been out" She said reaching down to clip the lead to her collar.

"Wait one sec I'll come with you" She said heading upstairs to quickly change.

Waiting outside Lexi allowed herself to adjust to the cold air as she waited for Liz to emerge. Closing the door, they started walking across the garden towards the field behind, watching as Lucy raced off ahead stretching her legs. They walked for some time until they had nearly cleared the side of the forest.

Stopping to look around they noticed more houses, bigger than the ones set back nearer to the village, but still in the same light stone to keep everything uniform. Watching as Lucy turned around and started to head back they quietly followed her, as she looked over her shoulder constantly to make sure they were there.

They missed the figure stood in the top window watching their progress across the field as he sipped his tea.

back at the house the others had started to rise and were congregating in the kitchen as they stepped back inside. A few green faces were dotted around whilst they all sipped at hot drinks testing their stomachs.

Deciding on a quiet day they planned on walking down to see the village in the day light and join the evening Halloween walk and party at the pub.

After a light breakfast they walked through the village, popping into little shops to look around, before heading home to knap before the evening festivities began.

Across the field Gary, Mark and Howard had worked on Gary's unfinished song, helping him with the final part, he had been able to close the book on it and finally relax. It wouldn't be long before he started another one, but for the time being he was going to just unwind with his friends and enjoy their company.

Talk earlier had turned to the notice they had seen in the pub and all agreed they would head back there that evening as they had enjoyed the previous night there. After a long walk they sat in the living room and relaxed until they had to start getting ready.
