Chapter 15

From no where came a crashing sound and a group of girls came screaming round the corner straight into them, nearly knocking them off their feet. Laughing at their faces as they calmed down and took in their surroundings.

"God im sorry" Lexi said as she crashed straight into a firm chest. Looking up she looked straight at Gary and shouted "jesus christ"

"Nope not quite, but hes not far off" Howard said laughing as they started to realise who they were.

All around there were gasps and wide eyes as they all noticed who they had ran into.

"what are you doing here?" Leanne asked looking at each of them in turn.

"Visiting this one" Mark said nodding his head in Garys direction.

Turning round at Marks voice Lexi found Liz and Marina staring at him open mouthed.

Every head turned to face Gary, several of their eyes still wide as they took it all in.

"this is mad" Jackie said smiling at everyone around her.

"As nice as it is to meet you all, i have a prize to find" Howard said winking and taking another step foward.

"So do we" Liz said laughing with her hands on her hips.

"Good Luck" Gary said smiling at Lexi as he took a step around her.

All of sudden they took off at speed racing along the same paths as they tried to out run each other. Everyone screamed as objects flew from the Sky above them, skeletons blocking their way and hands reaching, grabbing the material of their clothes, trying to pull them backwards away from the direction they were headed.

Laughing they untangled themselves and reached the next section. To the left they saw figures heading towards them, Zombies dragging their legs as they moaned. Looking to the right they saw the path was clear and ran along that way. In front of them Freddy Krueger jumped onto the path, one hand in the air flexing his knives. Leanne pushed Mark in his direction and laughed as they dived past him.

Reaching another corner they found the mist had risen and was thicker. All around them they could hear the moans of the dead, making it difficult to know which direction to head. Silently they crept forward listening for the sounds again, to see if they were heading in the right direction. All of a sudden arms came through the mist and they jumped back, turning round and running in the oposite direction.

Breaking through into a clearing they found the centre of the Labryinth. A single red balloon floated in front of them, the prize they had been looking for. Rushing forward the all reached for the balloon just as Penny wise the clown jumped out from behind the bush in front of them. Screaming they started to rush back all except Lexi and Gary who stood holding on to the balloon, staring open mouthed at the clown taking determined steps forward.

"Only one can defeat me. Make your decision, or i'll take you all" He said looking from face to face.

Lexi turned to look at Gary and back to the clown terrified. Seeing her face he released his hand and took a step back. "Its all yours" he said turning round and stepping back with the others.

"Garrryyyyyy" Howard shouted as he watched him let go of the balloon, "we had that mate"

Laughing at him Gary watched as Lexi turned round to face the clown holding the balloon on her own.

"well done, you win, i'll head back to my sewer for now." the clown said as he took a step backwards and stepped back behind the bush. "Follow the path to the right and you will reach your saftey" Dropping down behind the bush he vanished from view.

Turning round lexi laughed as she stood there holding the balloon. "come on then" she said as she started to walk towards the path to lead them out. Looking forward they found several characters standing along the walls, as they approached they all disapreared into the walls giving them a free exit out of the Labyrinth.

As they walked into the clearing people clapped and cheered, steppng back to let them through.

Another hooded figure approached them and pushed back their hood, revealing the pub landlady with a huge smile on her face. "well done, i knew you guys would get it" she said looking at the two groups combined.

"But we didnt meet until half way round" Liz said confused.

"oh i know, but you were destined to meet at some point this evening" She said winking at Lexi and handed her a trophy. A single gold balloon attached to a wooden base.

Turning to the others she smiled and passed the trophy round.

"If you head back to the pub theres a drink for the winners behind the bar. I hope you've enjoyed yourselves tonight" she said heading towards the next group finding their way out.

"meet you at the pub then?" Gary asked as they started to head back to the cars

"Sure" Lexi said "see you guys there"

Getting into their cars the girl waited until mark pulled out of the parking space before they screamed. The whole way to the pub was filled with excited chatter and questions.
