Heal the broken

***SAM P. O. V.***
Its been a few months. Everything is different. We have a new Hokage. She seems okay.
"Okay everyone we have a new mission." Kakashi said as we left the village.
"Its a joint mission with the sand right?" I asked. Kakashi nodded yes.
"I dont see why we can't do this on our own." Naruto complained. "Shut up." I hit him on the head.
We got to the meeting spot before them.
"Their late. See you cant trust them also their men are creepy there." He talked about gaara and his team.
"Sorry we are late." Gaara said behind. Everyone froze.
Then Selena jumped on Naruto! "Hey where is the brat that wears orange?!" She yelled excited.
"Hahagdbdndhsn." We heard Naruto in the water.
"Selena off." Gaara said.
"Oh my bad kid." She jumps off.
"Hey what was that for?!" Naruto yelles getting up. 'She seems happier.'
"It's okay we were just early." Kakashi said.
"Sorry we were late." Selena said.
"So where is the fan girl and puppet guy?" Naruto asked.
"I think you mean Temari and kankuro." Sakura pulled his ear.
"Sorry we are late!" Two other sand ninja came.
Then Naruto throw a rock and gaara sand block it.
Those two other sand ninja ran for cover behind the bush.
"What was that for?" I hit Naruto.
"I didn't mean anything by it. Nothing can hurt no brows." He said.
"Where did those other two go?" Sakura asked.
"Please be patient with them they are rookies." Gaara said.
They showed there faces behind the bush.
We start heading the way for the mission when we get half way we stopped.
"Kakashi can i have a word with you." Gaara jumped down from the trees.
"What's his problem?" Naruto asked.
"They are probably going over stuff for the mission." Sakura said.
"Well why be so secretive about it." He asked.
"Hey don't bad mouth Gaara he has been put through a lot and is trying to do right!" Selena barked.
"Don't mind Naruto. He doesn't know what he is talking about." I said hitting him in the head."
"Hey stop that." He rubbed his head.
Kakashi came back up. "Team 7 lets move."
"Try not to be late gaara." Naruto said as we left.

On our way there i could feel we were being followed.
"Kakashi." Katelyn said.
"I know. How long are you going to follow us?" He asked.

***Selena P. O. V.***
"Why are we with the regular forces?" I asked on our way to meet our team for the mission.
"You know why." Gaara said.
"But they hate us. They want us dead." I said.
"We have to do things we don't like its a part of life." Sara said.
"I bet they are going to send someone to follow us to end us." I said.
"Then we will fight through that." Sara said.
"Who are they putting us with anyways?" I asked.
"Hi." The two rookies came up to us.
"We are facing chunin level ninjas and they give us rookies?!" I yelled.
"Sorry lady-" they start but gaara held up his hand.
"Nothing wrong with you its the higher ups that are wrong. Lets head out before we are to late." I said.

***Sam P. O. V.***
We rushed to gaara after face those from the sand that were targeting him. "Why did you leave him he's your friend right?" Naruto yelled.
We caught up to Selena. "Sorry i was getting the rookies out of the way." She said.
"Lets hurry they might have gaara." Katelyn said.

Naruto started making shadow clones and started attacking.
"Gaara. Are you okay?" Selena went to his side.
I took off my necklace. " Run for cover. Tree dance kunai leaf attack!" I yelled. Taking out most of them.
"Show off." Naruto said.
After the fight was over we all meet up.
"Im sorry to make such a problem." Gaara said.
"Thats fine they are the one who cause this." Naruto said.
"Let's continue our mission." I said.
"Yeah let's finish what we started." Selena said.
