Luke's POV

.

I opened the hospital doors and rushed in with Mia. "Uh, Michael Clifford, please."

"Room 164." The check in lady with the red plump lips told me.

I ran through the halls, dodging past nurses and doctors carrying trays and files. Mia followed behind, and soon we were standing in front of Room 164. I pushed open the door and saw Michael in a plain white hospital bed, looking worn out, talking to Ruby and holding her hand.

I coughed and Michael smiled at both of us. "Hey. Thanks for coming."

I smiled back at him. "Don't worry about it." Mia took her place next to Ruby and I took mine next to Michael as the girls started having a conversation of their own.

Suddenly, a blonde woman with pink lips and green eyes walked in, smiling. "Great news. There's nothing seriously wrong with you, just a little food poisoning. Next time, just watch how much you eat." Michael blushed and hanged his head while I laughed.

"Two more visitors?" She asked, looking down at her clipboard.

"Yeah." Michael confirmed, laying his head back and looking at Ruby.

"Well, you should be out of here soon. Let me just run a few more tests and then you can go. I'll be right back." Then the woman left the room, closing the door firmly.

I whistled. "Mikey, you didn't tell me you have such a hot doctor." I saw Ruby and Mia both roll their eyes.

Michael shrugged and smirked. "I'm saving her for myself." Ruby thwacked him on the shoulder, earning a yelp.

Mia laughed, and wow, did she have an amazing laugh.

What was I saying?

"Okay, aren't you going to get bored in this dump?" I asked, placing my hand beneath my chin and leaning forward.

"Ahem, excuse me, but this "dump" saves lives." Mia told me, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well, yeah. If we didn't have hospitals, half the population would be dead right now." Michael agreed.

"What? No they wouldn't," I said. "Would they?"

"Guys! Are we really going to talk about the importance of hospital right now, or are we gonna play Jenga?" Ruby said excitedly, pulling out a long box.

"You brought Jenga?" I laughed.

"Well, no. I just found it in the corner over there, and thought it would come in handy when we got bored." She explained, ripping open the box. She poured out the wooden blocks and put the box to the side. We all grabbed some and built the tower.

"Okay, Luke, you go first."
