Luke's POV.

.

When we reached my room, I flopped down on my bed, looking up at Mia. She giggled, sitting next to my legs and crossing hers. "So this is your room?"

I nodded. She looked around, fiddling with my untied bright green shoelaces. "Nice."

"Thanks."

"Um, Luke? What were you actually doing yesterday?" Mia bit her lip.

"I told you-"

"No, Luke. I know you were eavesdropping on us."

I sighed, sitting up. "Look, I just wanted to know what was going on. So, are you guys still together then?"

Mia nodded, but looked a little unsure. "Of course."

Silence.

"Luke, I feel terrible. I'm sorry." She whispered, but before she could say anything else, I folded her into a hug, burying my face in her hair.

She smelt great. Like roses, or something. It felt good, hugging her like that. I moved my hands down to her waist as she pulled away. "Thanks." She smiled up at me. I bit my lip and looked down at her lips.

"Luke?" I blinked, frowning a little.

"Sorry." I sighed, still holding her waist.

"That's okay." Mia rested her hands on my chest, chewing on her bottom lip. We stared at each other for a minute before we leaned closer towards each other. My face was only inches away from her, my breath fanning over her face.

"Luke..." She mumbled. The door burst open and in came Delilah, wearing a bright pink tutu with sparkly fairy wings, followed by my mom.

"There's a thing called knocking." I glared at her. She rolled her eyes. "Delilah wanted to see Mia."

I looked at Mia again, who was now sitting a metre away from me. "Sorry. Luke was just showing me his-"

"Posters." I finished. She nodded quickly.

Mom smiled. "Well at least you two are spending more time with each other. Come on, sweetie. They're busy." Delilah nodded and followed her out.

After hours of talking and actually showing Mia my posters, we lay in my bed, our bodies far apart.

"Calum's still my boy..." She trailed off in silence. "My boy..." She tried again.

"The B word." I nodded in the half lit room. She nodded back.

"The B word."

"Yeah."

Silence again.

I felt for her hand and grabbed it, giving it a small squeeze. Mia smiled at me. "You're not half bad." I smiled back.

She yawned as she moved closer to me, burying her face in my chest. "Luke?"

"Hm?"

"You're sweeter than you think." And she fell asleep. I watched her sleep as her chest rose up and down slowly, snoring lightly. I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her body right up to mine. I kissed her forehead then closed my eyes, falling asleep myself.
