It was later on in the evening and Amelia would be sat at the table, staring at her plate of food, the rest of the family are eating happily and chatting away, talking about their day. River would notice Amelia and he'd clear his throat slightly, she'd jump from her thoughts and start eating silently, Daniel would frown slightly at River, and River would shake his head.

"Hey, Amelia, are you okay?" Daniel would approach her as she sat on the window seat, staring out into the night sky, she'd nod slowly, "...Where's River...?" She'd turn toward him.

He'd shrug and sit opposite her, "What's going on Amelia?" She'd look away again, her eyes saddened, "He's not coming...." Daniel would tilt his head confused, "Who?" She'd sigh softly, "My father said he would come over....he's not coming any more...." disappointment would show on her face. Daniel would reach across to hug her. She'd flinch away from his touch, River would grab Daniel's arm, and pull him away gently from her, "Mine." Daniel would nod quickly apologising.

River would carry her to his bedroom and he'd set her onto the bed, Amelia would clutch onto him tightly and she'd bury head into his chest. He'd stroke her hair gently, "I could call him if you want.." She'd shake her head silently. "Well there has to be a reason for him to suddenly change his mind baby. How about we go over there?" Amelia would hesitate before nodding in agreement. "Alright, we'll head over tomorrow afternoon."

Amelia would sigh softly and nod, holding onto his hand, gripping it tightly, as if he were to let go at any moment, leave her and never come back. River would lie down and pull Amelia onto his chest, she'd wrap her other arm around his torso, and bury herself into his body, River'd smile slightly pulling the covers over themselves ensuring she's warm and he'd  wrap his free arm around Amelia's waist, keeping her close.

Daniel would knock on the door and River would get up slowly, leaving the sleeping Amelia on the bed and answer the door, replying with a quiet, "What?" Daniel would frown, "Dad wants to speak to you. Now. Alone." River would nod and shut the door softly and walk over to Amelia, "Baby, my father wants to speak to me, I'll be back soon okay?" She'd nod still mainly asleep and he'd kiss her head before walking out.

Daniel would smirk and sneak into his room and stand over Amelia's body. Admiring her. Filthy thoughts clouding his mind. He'd forget how long he would be standing there, he'd hear someone coming so he'd rush out the room and walk past River quickly.

"Hm. Strange." River would say to himself quietly as he entered his room to see Amelia just waking up. "Hey, baby." He'd smile and sit beside her and she'd cuddle back into him, "Sleep...." He'd chuckle and nod, "Alright." He'd lie down beside her and Amelia'd cuddle back into him, she'd clutch onto him as he shuffled, trying to get more comfortable, and he'd pull her closer, arms around her protectively, ensuring she feels both cozy and safe, before falling asleep with her.
