deku grumbled as he felt something shake his shoulder, waking him from a much needed slumber.

"daddy-" a little voice said.

"daddy, i wan' play!" the voice whispered.

deku grunted and sat up a bit, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and glancing ahead of him.

there, sitting on his lap, was little ochako uraraka, pacifier in her mouth and toy in her hand, smiling.

"princess, it's 3 in the morning-" deku groaned, yawning and propping himself up onto his hands.

"bu' daddy, i not tired!"she chirped happily, obviously wide awake.

"honey, how long have you been up for..?" deku asked, rubbing his head.

"uhh...i dunno! but i wan play dolliesss-" she pouted, quite adorably.

"i know, love, but it's very early in the morning. daddy and princess both need their beauty sleep, right?" he asked, pulling her into his lap.

"but daddy, i no need sleep! i's already a pretty princess," uraraka giggled.

"well, daddy needs his at least. can we play in the morning?"

uraraka frowned at this. it didn't matter what time it was!

every time was playtime...right?

she huffed and crossed her arms. "but dats too far awayyyy-" she whined again, slightly louder.

"not if you sleep it's not, honey bun," deku yawned mid sentence.

uraraka puffed her cheeks out in a more exaggerated pout, placing her dollies onto the bed in front of him.

she held back a yawn.

she was tired, but wouldn't admit it. it should be playtime, after all!

"how about this," deku reasoned, "we can wait to play dollies until the morning and until then, you can sleep in daddy's bed. sound good?" he asked the girl.

after a few seconds of huffing and "hmph"ing, she slowly lowered her arms and complied, putting her dollies on the floor by the bed and climbing into bed next to deku.

deku smiled.

ochako rarely acted out, but she was notoriously a brat.

deku didn't mind, it made it all the more fun to him.

deku spooned the girl and snuggled her close, placing her pacifier back between her lips.

her eyes began to flutter shut.

"nini daddy~" she mumbled, words slurring.

deku chuckled and placed a kiss onto her forehead.

"goodnight, princess."
