Can we all just talk about how much I adore this Smol Boi because I love him so freaking much and he is one of the four only good characters from Blue Lions. Shots fired. Fight me. (Ashe, Dedue, Mercedes, Annette)

He also is my son and carried my entire crimson flower playthrough. Literally he just got a brave sword and crit literally four times as a thief and he beat demon Rhea.

STORYTIME!

You sat under the large tree with a stalk of wheat in your mouth, soaking up the sun and aiming a few new freckles on your skin and shoulders. You fought of that imperial army damn hard. You've earned this ending of relaxation. Who needs being a noble? Having a life given to you is so boring. Building one for yourself makes it so worth it. That's why you lent yourself so willingly to the army and pretended to be dead to your family and moved out to the most southeastern area of Faerghus to build yourself a lumber farm and an easy passageway for merchants of the Alliance.

"Out here again, (name)? This must be your favorite spot."

That soft, sweet voice with a small giggle following it. Yep, that's Ashe. You were honestly surprised he followed you after the war. He could've went back with his little siblings and lived a life integrated into society and been an extrovert. But no. His siblings wanted to live in the church and ended up okay and Ashe decided to track you down and live with you on your lumber farm. A relaxing life of solitude and tranquility, but filled hard work.

"Yep. You can watch the sunset right here if ya wanted to. The tree's beautiful with golden leaves in the autumn. This was the first tree I planted, yeah? The day you found me. All before then I built that cabin out there we live in."

"I never did ask you why you would lie to your family the way you did. You could've just told them this is what you wanted, right?"

"Nope."

You left it there. Let's say a little bit about your family. You were the only man, and the oldest, with seven little sisters. Your parents are very traditional, despite the teaching of Seiros being very feminist, and taught your sisters that they aren't to take power in the house and must be very feminine. They also don't like the fact you're not straight. You fixed the way you we're  laying down against the tree, using your arms to cradle your neck like a pillow. The grass swayed in the breeze as the sky slowly turned to orange. The mention of your family kinda put you in a sour mood. You sighed it off. Time to change the subject.

"Hey Ashe, have you ever climbed a tree before?"

"Of course! Though I've never climbed one too tall. I normally get kind of squeamish about heights, ha ha..."

You nodded, already understanding. You sat up, earning yourself an eyebrow raise from your boy, and you used some momentum from rolling back and up again to stand up. You stretched your shoulders. You turned to look at the old, sturdy tree and a leaf fell right down in front of your face. Autumn is starting. August is a beautiful month. You snickered to yourself as you grabbed the lowest branch and hoisted yourself up, using your feet to walk up the three two steps and pulling yourself up to the branch when you were tall enough. You leaning on the branch, looking down at the in awe freckled boy below you.

"Hey! Follow Me! I wanna we What the sunset looks like from up so high! Don't worry about the heights, if you fall I'll catch you! I'll help you up!"

You laughed heartily, offering your hand down so he could use it to get up. Reluctantly, he took it. You lifted him up like a doll and before he knew what was happening he was standing on the branch with you. He fell forward into your chest and he looked down. First mistake when you're afraid of heights. He audibly whimpered. Poor thing, he's so adorable. You were so glad he decided to stay with you. It might've gotten a little lonely without Ashe there by your side. Who knows, he might've been the one and this is just soulmates working it's magic. Thanks Sothis!
