Stay Safe, Princess [Sharena x Staff!Hero!Reader]

Everyone fight me I love my girl Sharena and she is precious. SHARENA IS WAY BETTER THAN FIJORM FIGHT MEEEEEEE!!!

STORYTIME!

Princess Sharena, let's talk about her. She's always wanting to be everyone's friend and she is the most lovable person in the entire kingdom of Askr. Her golden hair and emerald eyes are absolutely gorgeous, like that goddess that Miss Mercedes talked to you about. She's reckless and naïve and extremely impulsive, but that doesn't make her anything less of a wonderful princess. You adore her. 

But why would he ever pay attention to a lowly three star healer like you?

Kiran, the summoner who oh so obviously has the hots for Loki even though she is basically supposed to be the Order of Heroes' archrival, hasn't bothered to give you any useful skills or grind you up yet like they promised. And by grind up that's level grind, you sick bastards. So you just sit idly by in the barracks, sometimes going to the hall with a few heroes feathers to be of use to the summoner, and wait for your chance to prove yourself a worthy hero of both the Order and your Princess. You always hope she stays safe, no matter how docile the mission. You pray for her safety just like Sir Libra taught you.

"Ah, Sir Libra and Miss Mercedes."

The healer and axed both were wlakimg together, enjoying a nice time and talking about their respective deities in their respective worlds. Normally you wouldn't think two people with conflicting religions would get along, but by understanding that each comes from a different world with different Devine powers allowed them to create a platonic friendship stronger than most. Stress on platonic. Libra is married and had a child with his wife. Olivia x Libra forever bishes.

"Oh, hello (name)! Have you come to pray for our friends' safety too? Libra said he knew you'd be here!"

"Yes, I had figured you'd be here with how many times you visit. The Fountain is quite beautiful here, isn't it?"

You sat at the base of a fountain, the water flowing and the Devine Deity of Askr stood in the center: Holy Dragon Askr. It was quite a gorgeous fountain. It is where most in the Order ones to pray for their comerades who have fallen, for their comerades who are fighting, for their families, exetera. It is in the Order's garden, which also shares great beauty. Mercedes sat to your left and Libra at to you right. Mercedes threw a golden coin into the water and made a wish, a kind of definition Miss Sumia taught to her. Libra chuckled.

"Making a wish, Mercedes? What for?"

"I wish that everyone will end up happy after the war and that no conflict will ever happen again! A happily ever after for everyone! I get to make amends with my father, Libra can open up his church and orphanage in Yilese, and (name) can marry Sharena and support her forevermore!"

You nearly choked on air when Mercedes said that. Mercedes seemed confused on why you overreacted to such a degree. Libra simply rose an eyebrow knowingly, having gone through this entire phase himself before when he fell for Olivia.He patted your shoulder comfortingly, knowing that beigning up your feelings out of the blue would certainly startle you. It always startled him after all.

"You don't have to always be so nervous around her (name), the best possible thing you could do is be brave and tell her what is in your heart. I do believe Princess Sharena adores flowers so those would be good. I'm positive that she will want to at least see you."

She'd want to see you? Yeah right. You're just a level one three star healer from whatever fire emblem game was your favorite. To your surprise Miss Mercedes had already picked out a perfect bouquet for you to present to the princess of her favorite yellow flower. Was this preplanned? With suspicion, you took the flowers and looked at them. They seemed aight. Mercedes and Libra aren't the type of people for pranks, so this had to be legit right?

You took the flowers and thanked them before leaving, off to find Sharena to present them to her. You didn't really know why you were going through with all of this though, it seemed like a cruel joke to you. It was just the blind hope that maybe she'd be flattered by the flowers amen give you her sunniest smile that she always gives someone when they get her a beautiful gift. If only you were worthy of that smile and strong enough...

"Hey (name)! Sharena is waiting at the front gates!"

You turned your head and halted when you heard someone call out to you. Who was it? You found Kiran waving and giving you a thumbs up, grinning. What did that mean? You kept your head down low so that they couldn't see your blushing face and gave them an awkward thumbs up before stuttering off. You didn't even question how they knew you were looking for Sharena. It's the summoner, they always know.

You find her right where Kiran said she'd be, standing in front of the large gates to the Order of Heroes' base. Sharena was humming a song and weaving some flowers into the gate to make it look nice. You laughed under your breath. She's just a pure soul. She's a literal angel. You watched from afar as she happily did her own thing. Sharena looked over in your direction and you hid behind the wall. Sharena slipped over to you and you hid the flowers behind your back. This is a mistake.

"Hey (naaaame)! Kiran said you want to hang out with me and they said to wait here for you! I'm so excited! What are we doing today?"

Oh, uh... you both were going to hang out? Like a platonic hang out or a date hang out? Was this all a setup? You felt so dumb in this moment all you did was take the flowers and push them into her arms. She gasped and gave you that sunshine smile that basically took away any anxiety or fear you had about any of this.

"Oh my gosh you got these for me? They're my favorite I love them! Thank you (name)!"

"Oh, uh, you're very welcome. Soooo... you said you wanted to hang out?"

She seemed perplexed for a moment. You wondered why that was. She was the one who was waiting for you both to go hang out, right? So she told Summoner Kiran to get you and they sent Mercedes and Libra, right? Because otherwise this encounter wouldn't make any sense.

"Kiran told me that you wanted to hang out with me, so they told me to wait by the gate. I said this before, haven't I? It doesn't matter. Yes I do want to hang out with you! We can never have enough healers and from what Mercedes and her friends say, you're an amazingly kind and gentle person! I also heard from Brady you have a soft spot for kitty cats~ if you don't have a plan on what to do that's fine, but I think we should go find a stray cat and follow it! That sounds really fun!"

Oh Princess Sharena, you have always been so innocent and funloving. Yeah, you did have a soft spot for cats. But it's not as huge as Brady's! You just like cats. Brady adores them with every fiber of his being. He probably told the princess that to cover his own skin, but you didn't mind. Finding a stray cat and going on an adventure with your princess sounded like the perfect fun thing to do.
