The last time I checked he was settled in London but ofcourse he won't miss his cousin brother's wedding. Shekhar was the son of Koushik's maternal aunt and he was practically worshipped by Koushik's mother for his good boy image. But again only I knew he was a complete leech.
"How dare you call me? How did you get my number?" I boiled in anger.
A sly laughter came from the other side, "You hurt me Deepa. Even after all these years you are still running after Mahen. Why can't you see my love for you?"
I was about to disconnect when he said, "you know this wedding is going to be fun. Last time Rai saved you but this time I won't make the same mistake. I have kept an eye on your every step."

"Since you are monitoring me so closely you might also know this fact that I am no more that 16 year old girl!" I disconnected the call and was dialling Rai's number fast but then I stopped mid-way.
Rai will see him during the wedding but if I tell her about this conversation Chitra's wedding will turn into a battle ground.
Frustrated I ran my fingers through my hair. And just cursed my life. Why? Why god why? Why do you have to add so much of excess pain in my life?
My mother's voice woke me up from an already disturbed sleep, "Deepa wake up, wake up! Its 11am girl why are you still sleeping? And weren't you suppose to stay over at Rai's?"
"I wasn't feeling well so Rai dropped me home," I said rubbing my eyes.
"Oh so that's why Rai and Chitra called to ask about you?"
"They called you?" This two doesn't have any patience. I need to call them asap. Once my mother left my room I first dialled Chitra's number. If I call Rai she would scream at the top of her voice and her entire office will be the audience to our conversation.
