Chapter 13

It has been two hours of drinking and dancing, and I wasn't tired yet. "Baaaabbbeeeee! You looking fiiiiinnnee!" some douche slurred, I didn't know him but I'm guessing he was one of those players. (No shit Maria.)

"Is he bothering you?" Beau comes up to us. Jai is nearby sitting at a bar talking to some girl. A pang of jealousy hit me, the girl he was taking to was so pretty, with wild curly hair and brown eyes, but one of those chocolatey brown eyes that looked so warm.

"No I'm fine, but thanks." I say to Beau looking him in the eyes to make sure that he knows I appreciate him looking after me.

"Let's go see who Jai is talking to." Beau says, and taking me by the arm he leads me to where Jai and the girl are sitting.

"Hey Maria, I want to introduce you to Shyler, she's a friend of mine, I've known her my whole life."

Oh thank god, I think Jai just friend-zoned her. "Hey," she says smiling warmly at me. I couldn't help but stare at her hair, it was so.... curly.

Shyler laughed, "I know my hair is crazy right?"

"HEY! SHYLER GET OVER HERE!" somebody roared from behind us. We all looked back at the same time. a huge, buff guy, was glaring at us.

"Guys I have to go," she says with a scared look on her face.

"Wait." Jai tugs at her arm. Jai was furious.

"Jai, don't do this." Beau stepped in from of him. But Jai just pushed through and walked up to the glaring man, who might I mention was almost twice his size. "shit is about to go down." Beau says nervously.
