Maria's POV

Today was possibly the worst day of my life. Although only the day before had I come to the conclusion that I finally have a permanent place that I could call home, and didn't have to move around anymore, things have grandly escalated from there. Not only did I have the worst head pains in the history of cracked skulls, but I also had plenty of time to think of my family. My mum and dad. My dog. How much I freaking miss them. How much I want to go back, but at the same time I know I cant. I can't because if I ever want to truly set up a life for myself, I can't look back.

Speaking if life changing decisions, the Brooks brothers (Jai, Luke,Beau) decided that it would be best to enrol me in the college that they all go to. It also happens to be a performing arts college. Now I know that most people would say 'oh my god this is so exiting! I have a chance to try out of a very intense college that can make me famous! Woohoo my life doesn't suck anymore!' But I don't think those people have thought out the future. Or at least for me, this is what I think it will end up like.

I get on stage to edition for college. I throw up. I fail. I live in a box under a bridge.

Now as fun as that sounds I'm not sure that's the lifestyle I want to set up for myself.

Of course I will try out for 'Australian Arts College" but I also have to go through the painful agony of long boring hours filling in dozens of other applications to colleges I can actually get into.

Why not start now.

2 HOURS LATER

Jai walks in the room holding a vacuum cleaner. "You have been sitting here all day, coincidentally on the nicest day in Australia in a decade." He groaned rolling his eyes. I swivelled my roller chair around to face him putting on my serious professor face, with a deep serious voice to go along with it.

"Oh Mr. Brooks! Nice of you to join me! Why don't you sit down on the bed while I explain to you the reasons for this." I decided to be silly so I picked up a black sharpie from my desk and drew a moustache on my face to look more like a professor. He chuckled and sat on the bed. He watched me as I rolled my chair until I was sitting directly in from of him.

"You see Mr. Brooks. Although after my many years of knowledge I have gotten quite wise, there is still one crucial skill I have yet to master. Which is talking in public without throwing up my organs. You see, not all of us are as brave as you to put your whole life on the internet, where everybody is watching you. No, some of us are shy little mice that never speak and always sit at the back of the classroom." I finished my speech and Jai laughed. Without saying a word he picked me up and onto the bed.

"You can't be worrying about this now. You cracked your skull and almost died yesterday remember?" Be chuckled.

"I don't find my death particularly amusing." I pouted and turned my back to him. Jai then took his hand and poked my side. A burst if giggles escaped my mouth and I clamped my hand to stifle them. Oh no. If he finds out about my ticklish spot I won't get out of this room alive. But. It. was. too. late.

"AHAAA!!!!" He yelled and jumped on me ticking my sides.

I laughed hysterically. "Stop!!! Jai! I.... I cant... breathe!" I managed to say in between fits of laughter. Suddenly he kneeled down and kissed me on the lips. His lips were soft and plump. Suddenly the door swung open. "Hey I heard laughter wha...." Beaus voice died down and a sad expression replaced his usual smile. "I... gotta go..." he said closing the door.
