Going back up the stairs wasn't an option. Standing our grand against Titan, wasn't an option. Staying hidden in the room, was definitely not an option. We had little, to no options.

In realizing this, we opted for stumbling down the length of the dungeon as Gemma supported Neptune's weight and I supported Toby's. They were both weak, as were most of the members of our group. Physical injuries, emotional devastation, terror; those were just a couple of the things crippling us as we ran down the hallway, trying to get away from Titan's voice.

We had left the female droid behind in the room, I hadn't killed her but I wish I did. Maybe then Titan would see I wasn't messing around anymore, and reconsider an attempt to corner us. I didn't have time to express this though, or even consider what our plan was. The only thing that made sense was to run. After the first few shots went off, Titan stopped shooting and instead followed us down the hall, his boots echoed off the walls heavily. He wasn't quite running, but he wasn't taking his time either.

"There has to be another way out of here, a staircase or something," Toby gasped, gripping onto me for dear life as Neptune silently pointed to the hallway veering to the left.

"This way, she wants us to go this way," Gemma said, and with blind trust, our group followed Neptune's directions as we tried to silence our heavy breathing. We didn't want Titan to know how close he was to us, or how easy it would be to corner us. All we had to do was make it to the roof. If the Minds really were coming to bust us out of here, I had to trust they had a plan in place that surpassed anything we could dream up.

"What about mom and dad? We can't leave them!" Naomi whimpered, keeping herself lodged between Gemma and I as we ran. I could tell she was scared. The way her fingertips trembled, the glistening layer of unshed tears in her eyes, and how she kept looking back. She was more aware then we were that there was impending doom following us.

"We'll double back for them after we figure out how to get out of here." I decided, having no intention of leaving my parents behind. I would find another droid, maybe the same, and demand they take me to them. I fully intended on leaving with all my family, not just my siblings. Gemma though, had a less optimistic view on the whole issue.

"No Abigail, we can't. Once we get out, we have to go. As long as Titan knows your out there, he'll keep them alive. Our chances of rescuing them are better if we escape," Gemma insisted, her frail voice followed by the sound of increasing footsteps. Titan wasn't the only one down here anymore. His backup must've arrived. I had no doubt we were severely outnumbered. Things weren't looking good for us, and we had no way of getting to the roof without confronting Titan. I highly doubted the prison looped back around the steps, the further we went, the deeper into it we seemed to go.

"We have to try Gemma, there's no guarantee he won't kill them, I'm not chancing it." I insisted as Neptune then pulled Gemma towards the right, and we found ourselves outside of the first colored door I'd seen since coming down here. It was a worn down grey, with brown rust on it, and grime on the window. The handle seemed to be new though, and noticeably outshone the rest of it. Before any of us had a chance to decide to enter the room or not, we then heard Titan coming around the corner.

"Once I eliminate your distractions Abigail, we can talk again. Maybe this time you'll listen. If not, we'll just keep talking until you do." Titan called out, a mournful edge to his voice as his shadow loomed over the white wall behind us. He was about to round the corner.

"Go, go now!" I whispered, and everyone filled the doorway of the old door as Gemma tried the handle. It was locked. Weakly, Toby pushed himself off of me and tried to push it open with Gemma and Neptune's help. That didn't do them any good though, it just discouraged and panicked everyone furthermore. Naomi started full out sobbing, Gemma started trembling, anger crossed Neptune and Toby's faces, and my sledgehammer felt like a thousand pounds in my hand. Gasping, I realized I could use the sledgehammer to open the door. It really shouldn't have taken me that long to realize that. "Move over," I said, pushing everyone back as I lifted up the sledgehammer and with three swings that sucked out most of my strength, I damaged the lock enough to push the door open.
