We had gone to the dormitory then the assembly room, talking about it's history, making a few jokes, trying to lessen the tension that still followed us.
"Now there's only one more room to show and by far it's my favourite place in the entire school." I stop outside the mahogany doors of the room and turn around to face them.
"Welcome to the Stefan Salvatore Memorial Library." I say as I open the door, allowing them to walk in the surprisingly empty room.
The originals seemed to be shocked at the name making me to assume that they were not aware of Stefan's passing.
Stefan Salvatore was my best friend and my brother (in-law). He died doing what he did best, saving his family. It had been twelve years but honestly the pain he left behind made it feel like it was just yesterday when we lost him.
"All the artifacts in this library has a supernatural history behind it." Alaric randomly pitched in.
"Now most of these books were donated by Damon Salvatore but some of them were actually written by myself and Dr Saltzman." I continue, slightly smirking at Elijah's shocked yet slightly proud expression.
"Please, go ahead, have a look around." I say to the two children who looked around in awe.
I walk towards one of the display cases that held some of the Salvatore's heirlooms such as Stefan's journals, his daylight right and the necklace that he had given to Elena.

Lifting the glass, I carefully take out the blue lapis lazuli daylight ring and place it in my hand.
I miss him. A lot.
After Caroline and I became vampires, Stefan was the only one who truly bothered enough to check up on how we were doing, he helped us gain control over the bloodlust, he got us daylight rings, he was there when my mom found out about her daughters becoming vampires, he was always there for me.
For a slight second it felt as if someone placed pressure on top of my hand, looking around no one was near me and I smiled, even in death Stefan still checks up on his friends.
