Charlotte rubbed her eyes and picked up her phone, flinching at the high brightness.
23:15 Thursday 27 October
Three days. Only three days to prepare.
The blonde vampire had not been able to get a wink of sleep for the past two days since she told the twins about the merge, and ever since then, the girls have been avoiding any interactions with their parents.
It was understandable but it doesn't mean that it didn't hurt her.
The stress of it only being three days away was starting to take a toll on Charlotte, the day that she came back from the Mikaelson mansion, Freya had called her, informing her that since the Gemini coven was so closed off, there was no one to ask questions to.
If the original witch were to do a spell or another ritual, it could actually harm both girls since there was no way of knowing if there were any negative effects set to happen if the girls somehow find a way out of the merge.
So, with that in mind, Charlotte made a decision she knew she would come to regret; she was going to go back into the prison world and negotiate with Malachai Parker.

In order to get into the prison world, Charlotte needed the ascendant that Josie, Lizzie and Bonnie made back in 2018, the blood of a Bennett witch as well as the power from a celestial event.
The blonde vampire had done her research and the next celestial event was on the 30th, giving her three days to prepare. Luckily for the mother, she and Ric had agreed to keep the ascendant in a locked box that was cloaked in her office, hidden in plain sight.
Bonnie had also willingly given two bags filled with her blood, without any questions asked. Well, that's a lie but she gave up asking after Charlotte accidentally gave the witch five shots over her usual limit.
So with all that ready, she had to mentally prepare herself. She wasn't expecting Kai to just welcome her with open arms and invite her over for some pork rinds. He was going to be mad and a mad Kai usually ended up with some sleeping beauty spells and beheadings.
Besides, prison worlds not exactly her favourite place to go.
No. Charlotte had to be smart about this, otherwise, this could end up with her not going home to her kids.
I have got to stop spending so much time with Caroline, I'm turning into a drama queen. Charlotte silently giggled at her inner thoughts before realising how crazy she felt.
