𝑻𝒘𝒐 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 ~ 𝑴𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒆𝒍𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏
The Mikaelsons had returned from the boarding school, some in immense guilt and others confused as they had missed out on the drama and didn't understand why everyone was so tensed.
Klaus had gone straight to the bourbon and poured out a glass while everyone dispersed around the living room when Hope couldn't take the silence and broke it with the million dollar question. "What did she mean?"
No one answered and just gave each other looks. "Well, what did she mean?!" Then she turned her head to her mother who was standing by the fireplace. "Was it true? Did you have sex with Ms Salvatore's ex boyfriend?"
Hayley had a moment of silence, the only noise you could hear was the fireplace crackling, she let out a deep sigh and nodded. "It's true." Hope scoffed and shook her head.
"Unbelievable!"
"But Hope, listen." She cut her daughter off before she could continue her sentence. "I was a completely different person back then. I've changed, I found my purpose in life." Hayley placed her hands on Hope's cheek and shoulder.
"What about Miss Forbes? 'Cus the way Lizzie spoke to you two, she wasn't just upset about her aunt, you did something to her mom too, didn't you?"
Hope definitely was a Mikaelson with their brains, she started to connect the dots; the hatred that Lizzie had in her eyes, directed to her parents, the looks she saw her dad always gave to Miss Forbes, how she acts around her dad. The story between them, dad always telling her that it was his fault that they broke up, their life lessons on loyalty.
"It's because- it's because you did the same thing to her too, but only this time, her boyfriend was dad." Her voice got quieter by the end of the sentence.
"Dad." Dread hits her with full force. Her dad only had her from banging her mom once and that once was while he was cheating an an amazing woman.
She was a product from a cheating scandal.
And for some reason that hurt a thousand times worse than knowing you were a product from a one night stand, giving her more the belief that she was a cosmic mistake.
Hope didn't even notice the tears that were dripping down her face as she continued to speak. "Well that explain a lot!" She scoffs, sarcastically laughing. "No wonder Lizzie and Josie hate me. I would."
"Look, when you go back to school tomorr-"
"You're crazy if you think I can even face them after knowing all this. God! What were you even thinking, enrolling me into her school. Haven't you caused enough pain?!"
