Twelves hours of sleep later, feeling more fresh and tedious, I took over detention from Dorian who had to do some work in the library.
Seeing it was Saturday, there weren't many people in detention, only residential students; Penelope, MG, Kaleb, and Landon who was only here because of me.
The former three decided to have a small fight after we left the talent show causing them to get Saturday detention where you sit for four and a half hours and do nothing. Landon was here because he was bored and just needed someone to talk to.
"Seeing that we're stuck here for an unnecessary amount of time which I don't want to really be here and I know that you don't either. How about we make a deal?" I was leaning on the front of my desk, Landon sitting on my chair behind it and the rest of the kids in their seats.
They all look at me with caution and curiosity.
"What kind of deal?" MG asks.
"Pop quiz, if you get them right, you leave. Get them wrong, you stay the whole time." I explain, the kids have a moment to think before looking at each other and make a non-verbal agreement.
"You got yourself a deal, Miss Forbes." Kaleb smirks.

"Penelope, witches can loose their powers after turning into vampires." I point at her, she thinks for a few seconds and nods her head.
"True however there are siphoners that can turn into witch-vampire hybrids aka heretics, they draw upon their vampirism as a limited source of magic, allowing they to continue practising their powers." She said with a smug smile, giving me a knowing look.
"Well done! Kaleb, vampires can suppress their hunger by doing what?"
"Drinking booze and having munchies." He deadpanned, looking bored out of his mind.
"Not exactly how I would word it but yes, correct." I've been walking up and down the room, trying to get myself busy from the boredom.
"MG, does a werewolf-vampire hybrid require a daylight ring to walk in the sun?"
He hesitates to answer and during this the door quietly opens from behind me, glancing it was the twins and the youngest Mikaelson with her two parents.
I wave them in and they sit down near the back, trying not to disturb us. I walk back and lean in my original place on my desk, Landon now spinning around in my chair.
"Come on MG, a vampire-werewolf hybrid; what side is more prominent, the werewolf or the vampire?"
"They do need a daylight ring because their vampire side is stronger." He guesses.
