Super short chapter, but sort of a preview for the upcoming plot line, as this is just a starter :)

"And when will the patients be here and ready for their first test?"
"We can have the cat, and maybe the bunny here by tomorrow. The dogs in three days, and the rest in five. Cats are the easiest to catch, and the rest will follow. Loyalty, and all that."
"See that they're all here by the end of the week."

Namjoon held Joy's little hand in his own, dimpled smile on his face as he led her to the park. Her favorite toy was clutched in her hand, a soccer ball with flowers stamped on each of the hexagons. They made their way to the grassy area of the park, spreading out. Namjoon sent a gentle kick of the ball to Joy, giving the cat hybrid an easy kick back as she sent in careening towards him. He stuck his foot out to block it, stopping it under his heels before kicking it again.
They did this a few times before Namjoon's clumsy instincts kicked in, and his foot sent the ball soaring into the bushes on the other side of the park.
"I got it!" Joy's voice rung out through the park as she dashed to the bushes, having to crawl behind them until she could no longer be seen. For a few seconds Namjoon could hear the rustling of leaves but then he could hear nothing, and his brows furrowed.
"Joy?"
No response.
"Joy? Joy!"
Namjoon broke out into a run towards the bushes, parting the one that he had seen Joy crawl into only to find an empty syringe in her place, and the popped soccer ball. Joy was nowhere to be seen.
