(A psa to my male readers: I use the term mommy in this for the reader in relation to Jungkook. If you're uncomfortable with that or would rather imagine it in a male sense, feel free to do so. I don't mean to stereotype at all, there's plenty of male couples where one refers to themself as the mommy regardless of gender orientation. Sorry if I don't really cater to you as much, I try to make it gender neutral, but I'm not used to it so sometimes things slip through my radar :(  )

You had finished unloading all of the groceries and even packed away the paper towels under the sink, and Taehyung and Namjoon were still not done talking. You were getting increasingly nervous, the worry from having Taehyung be silent in the car adding onto this and freaking you out even further. You decided to scrub down the countertops, trying to distract yourself from thinking about the possibility that there was something wrong. You only heard faint murmurs from the living room, not able to make out any full words or phrases.

You heard the voices stop all of a sudden and you tensed, but then you heard footsteps leading back into the kitchen. You turned, seeing the two men in the doorway. You smiled gently at them, trying to gauge their reactions to see how bad the situation was. Both gave you genuine smiles back, though Namjoon's looked more excited while Taehyung's looked nervous. You tried pushing down your rising hysteria and turned back to the counter, putting more elbow into cleaning until the counter gleamed.

You felt Taehyung come up behind you and you saw his arms wrap around your waist out of the corner of your eye. You leaned back into him, closing your eyes and trying to fight back the tears that threatened to spill. You might have been overreacting, but things with Taehyung had been smooth sailing so far, at least, between the two of you.

You did not consider kidnappings and attacks smooth sailing, but neither left the two of you drifting apart, rather, they brought you closer together. You wondered what you had done to make him so silent and reserved, but it didn't seem as though he would tell you.

If Taehyung smelled the distress that was surely radiating off of you in waves, he didn't say anything. He only squeezed you tighter, pressing his lips repeatedly against the crown of your head. You managed to blink back your tears, swallowing down the lump in your throat before turning around in his arms.

The adoring look in his eyes almost made you cry again, but you focused instead on the collar of his shirt. He dipped his head down, nosing at your cheek and nuzzling his forehead against yours. You leaned into his touch, cherishing the physical contact between you and your love.

You weren't sure which one of you pulled away first, but you each decided to move upstairs. You took Taehyung's hand, tugging him up the stairs after you. He pulled away at the top, excusing himself to the bathroom. You went into your room without him, not seeing the bunny boy on the bed as he was buried under the blankets. Your tears once more surfaced, this time spilling down your cheeks and wetting your shirt as you braced yourself on the bed so that you wouldn't fall.

Jungkook was trying his best to hide, but at the sound of your sniffles and sobs he wiggled his way out from under the covers to stare up at you worriedly.

"Mommy? Are you okay?" He hadn't realized the word had slipped from his mouth, Mommy, but it meant more to you than you could ever describe. You mustered a sheepish smile, trying to wipe away the tears that were falling more now that you were so touched.

"Yeah bunny, I'm okay. Come here." You held your arms out for the little boy and he stood up on the bed, wobbling before he caught his balance and hopped into your arms. You wrapped him in the tightest hug you could, squeezing the life out of the unsuspecting child as he wriggled in your arms. He finally got his arms around you too, bumping his nose into the side of your head. You felt his little cottontail practically vibrate in excitement and you laughed, worries about Taehyung ebbing away with each passing second.

Taehyung walked out of the bathroom, passing Jin and Jimin's room and shooting them both a quick hello before entering your shared room. He had smelled your sadness earlier in the kitchen and had tried to make up for it by being extra affectionate, but clearly it hadn't worked. He saw the tears glistening on your cheeks as Jungkook hugged you, each one cracking his heart until he was sure it was dust in his chest. He slowly approached the two of you, wrapping an arm around each of you and joining the hug. You looked startled for a moment but let him in gladly, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and tugging him closer. You knocked foreheads with him gently, sniffling gently to try and compost yourself. He rubbed your back in soothing circles, dipping his head down to rub his hair and ears over the side of your head. You reached up, scratching behind one of Taehyung's and one of Jungkook's ears, giggling at the sounds of a tail hitting the bed frame and a foot thumping against the mattress.

You peered over at the clock on the bedside table, seeing that it was getting to be pretty late. You sighed, breaking out of the hug that you'd been enveloped in and walking over to the closet. You slid off your clothes, slipping on one of Taehyung's shirts and a pair of shorts.

You grabbed a brush as you left, trading places with Taehyung who had been sitting on the bed. You brushed out your hair, setting the brush aside and taking Jungkook's hand. You reached down to a drawer under the bed, grabbing a fuzzy onesie for the child and helping him change into it. Onesies were the bunny's favorite thing to wear, he loved the soft fabric and the convenience of them being one piece. You were only too happy to indulge in his likes, adoring how precious the boy looked in the outfits. This one was striped blue and pastel green, a duck stitched into the chest portion. The toes of the onesie also resembled duck feet and you booped the noses of both, making Jungkook giggle.

Taehyung reemerged from the closet clad in a shirt and flannel pajama pants and pulled back the covers of the bed as he slid in. You followed, holding the bunny boy in your arms as you brushed out his hair before bed. You handed him to Taehyung, letting the two of them get settled before walking to the other side of the room, flicking off the light and crawling into the bed yourself.
