People are like glowsticks.
When we first come out of our plastic wrap,
And emerge from our homes,
We are amazed by what we see.
Then we are broken.
Snapped in two, or three, or four, maybe even five.
We must learn to shake it off and accept that we were broken.
Because people, like glowsticks,
Need to be broken a few times in order to reach their full potential.
