10. Susamaru

I was walking off when I heard the demon yahaba start to yell at Tanjiro.
I instantly turned back around to look at them.
How is he...

" all I had to do was bring your head, and I'd have his approval! I'll never forgive you...shoving my face in this vile dirt!"

I watched as yahaba raised his hands.
I jolted forward but stopped.
As far as I seen this won't kill Tanjiro.

" you're going down with me!"

My eyes widened as Tanjiro jolted to the right. He used one of his forms to stop the blow.
My eyes narrowed. Not yet... but his body can't handle so much forms at once. I better be observant. Tanjiro kept flying everywhere while using his forms to stop himself from being smashed into things which most definitely would kill him.
I watched as yahaba head disappeared and tanjiro fell from the sky.
I watched as he wasn't going to use a form to stop him, so I ran in.
I caught him in my arms which made him lose his sword.
He looked up at me while panting and I smirked.

" you're one hell of a kid..."

He Gritted his teeth and held my shirt saying.

" N-Nezuko.... tamayo....and..yushiro "

My eyes narrowed and I laid him on the ground.

" I'll watch over them... I promise."

I turned to leave but stopped when I heard scraping behind me.
I watched as Tanjiro held his sword in his mouth and crawled on his stomach.
My eyes widened.

" Tanjiro..."

" the power he wields is mind blowing! There's no one stronger then him! Not lord kibutsuji!"

I turned around and watched as susamaru has lost her composure.
What happened?
I watched as she dropped two of her temari balls in a scared manner.
I walked a bit ahead of Tanjiro to see tamayo with her demon art in effect.
Everyone seemed to be ok.

" you've uttered that name out loud, haven't you... that will trigger the curse..."

"I feel sorry for you...but...farewell."

My eyes softened to tamayo. Her eyes seemed to have a tint of guilt in them. Out of all the demons I've seen so far, She seemed to be the most compassionate.
Susamaru went into a full panic mode. She ran towards me and Tanjiro which I quickly held my sword expecting a fight. But. She never looked at us but up at the sky with fear.

" please forgive me! I'm begging you please! Please forgive me!"

My eyes widened in shock.
I never seen a demon so scared.
She dropped a temari which rolled side next to me and tanjiro.
But my eyes were too glued on susamaru to actually care.
I watched her hunched over in pain while 3 arms came out of her stomach, chest and mouth.
My mouth hung open in pure disgust.
Susamaru just stood there in pain for awhile.
I considered standing up and finishing her off for pity.
But the hands came down and started to rip her apart.
I sighed and looked away, I knew this would be something that would hunt me for awhile.
After it was done tamayo went over to her kimono and looked down at it sadly.
I stood up wanting to walk over but Tanjiro grabbed my arm.
I looked down and he attempted to stand.
I helped him up to a standing position while he hung on me.

" did she die?"

Tanjiro asked still shocked.

" she will momentarily... that's the curse. Her physical body will be destroyed by kibutsuji's cells that are still in her body... only kibutsuji can kill other demons...besides the demon slayers blades.."

Tanjiro looked down sadly.
I sighed and started to walk forward but saw yushiro run to us.
He slammed two handkerchiefs onto our face and yelled.
