24. Resting Day

" man this place is quite clean."

I looked around my Mansion seeing no dust.
Someone must've cleaned up.
I smiled knowing who.

" geez Giyuu, you're such a mom at times."

I started to cook my breakfast in my pjs with my haori on.
I heard someone ring my bell and I looked at my door confused.
I walked to the door with my skillet which contained scrambled eggs.

" hello?"

I opened the door presenting an already dressed up giyuu.

" good morning."

I smiled and let him in.
I forgot every morning he'd come over for breakfast.
He sat down at the table and looked through my books I had on there.

" to be honest, I forgot about our breakfast date."

I heard him sigh.

" it's...it's not a date..."

I gave him the food I already prepared and placed it in front of him.

" ok, whatever you say gigi."

He glared at me for the nickname and placed his hands together.

" thank you for the food..."

He then started to eat.
I started to cook something for me again.

" are you off to hang out with Tanjiro and his friends?"

" yeah, I was gonna head over after I got dressed and ate."

Giyuu closed the book.

" makes sense..."

I finished my meal and sat down next to him.
He looked at me and I closed my haori over my chest bringing a spoon full of eggs to my mouth.

" how's your head?"

" oh I'm fine, don't worry about it."

We sat there awkwardly, we didn't know what to say.
I cleared my voice and said.

" I know you cleaned around here while I was gone, thank you."

I patted his knee.
He just nodded.
After we got done eating Giyuu left to do something.
I never bothered to ask.
I got ready to check on the boys.

After I was all dressed up in my uniform I started to head over.
While I was walking over I saw kyojuro at our meeting place walking away like he was on a mission.

" hey! Kyojuro..."

He stopped and looked at me with his smile.

" ah! (Y/n).."

I smiled at his personality.

" where are you off too? A mission?"

He nodded and turned forward to me.

" yes, we got some new information about a demon, the slayers that confronted him all got taken out."

I crossed my arms while nervous for him.

" that sounds difficult, well I'm glad you're going! Save the day kyojuro!"

He didn't say anything but smiled at me.
He walked closer to me and said.

" what's your plan with the head-butting kid?"

He said Nonchalantly.

" eh?"

" will you stay with him now?"

I smiled.
I patted his shoulder.

" oh calm down, I'll always be here. My body and being belongs to master and the hashiras. I'm not leaving... but I am going to protect him. I feel he's very important in the near future..."
