Kathryn wasn't just going to let the innocent men to her right get shot; not when she was cursed with immortality.
"Please, you don't have to do this." she said calmly. Both of the men's heads snapped in her direction, giving her a look of bewilderment.
"Don't move!" The man repeated.
"You're free to leave if you so please. Nobody here will tell the police." she continued.
Kathryn began to slowly move so that she was standing in front of the other two men.
"Don't move or I'll shoot!"
"You don't have to do this." Kathryn said again.
She knew that if the man shot her, he would be forced to leave. That is, if he didn't want to be caught by the police.
The man hesitated, not knowing whether to shoot or to threaten another time.
"Please, you can be on your way, and nobody has to get hurt. This can be peaceful and civilized." she said slowly.
When the man still didn't do anything, Kathryn took a few step forwards in an attempt to grab his gun.
The man panicked and shot.
Four gun shots rang out. Followed by an eerie silence.
