"She's immortal" Henry choked out.
"What?!" Abe asked.
"She stopped breathing and just disappeared as I would have if it was I who had been the one to die."
"Well what are we waiting for?! We have to go see if she turns up near water, like you would."
"What about the window? Shouldn't we replace the glass first?"
Abe sighed. "Yes. Yes, I suppose we should."

Three and a half hours later, Abe and Henry drove up next to the part of East River where Henry would usually appear.
Replacing the glass in the shop window had taken much longer than expected.
"Do you see any sign of her?" Abe asked.
"No. She's probably already fled the area if she's smart. But we should look anyway, just in case." Henry said.
Abe simply nodded.
"The poor girl." Henry sighed.
Abe looked over at him quizzically.
"To be stuck living forever at such a young age. Never feeling safe. Always feeling like you have to look over your shoulder. And then there's this; she tries to save our lives and now she's in a panicky state of distress and distrust." Henry sighed and looked out his window.
"Abe, we have to find her."
"Agreed." Abe declared.
