When it fell onto the floor in front of Cross, the resounding splat echoed throughout the empty void that had once been his home.
All Cross could do was stare at it, the mysterious, sparkly stuff that had appeared out of nowhere.
Snapping back into his senses, he knelt down and picked it up, studying it.
"...Goop?" Cross wondered aloud, confused.
The mystery goop moved around in his hand. Cross looked around for the only one who normally dispensed ooze, but Nightmare was nowhere to be seen. He sighed, placing it into his pocket and opened a portal to the mansion. If anyone could tell where the goop came from, it'd be Nightmare or Ink.
As he left his void of an AU, the echo of the squishing goop still remained, an echo from another Omniverse...
