~3rd~
Zuko was now training Sokka, since they had gotten back to the Fire Nation the slightly younger boy had shown more obedience since he didn't want to get slapped or worse. The young prince was throwing balls of fire along with whipping the shorer boy with fire to teach him how to block attacks, unfortunately the Water Tribe boy didn't know what to do and ended up getting hit no matter what. "Come on you useless piece of shit! You should know how to block by now!" The young prince snapped at the other multiple times with berating words and often times stopping practice to give himself a time out to calm down. He was getting very frustrated with this boy he doesn't know how to block or when I'm open for attack...we should kill him or send him back.. he had those though flowing through his rage filled head, not really looking back to see that Sokka was in the corner. He cried gently and tried to cover up his sniffling by holding a bleeding and cauterized hand to his nose, looking at the prince so he knew when to hold up his new staff and Fire Nation shield once again.~Zuko~
I ran a warm hand across the back of my neck to try and calm my nerves, but unsurprisingly it didn't work. I turned around to look at the worthless boy I'm training to try and get him to start working again, but I saw him huddling in the corner, crying. Cauterised wounds and even opens one littered his legs and arms, I thought back to what my father had done to me and swallowed my pride.~Sokka~
I was already in the corner but I shrunk back more, trying to dissolve into the corner once those golden eyes had made contact with mine. The prince took long strides towards me and showed no sign of anger this time, he only held out a hand and looked at my staff "give it here then go to your room. I'll call you when dinner is ready." In pure shock I did what I was told, tossed my staff to Zuko and made haste to my room so I wouldn't get yelled at for being to slow or not listening to orders. Once in the comfort of my new room once again I melted onto the bed and whinced a little due to my open wounds making contact with the white silk sheets. I jumped back out of bed and searched through my closet, finding nothing I could use as bandages I plopped down in the corner like I had been moments ago. "Katara....come for me soon...."~Zuko~
After I had placed the staff with the others and hung the shield up I left the practice arena and went up the spiral stairs, to my prisoner's room and rapped on the door harshly "are you dressed?" My voice was a bit louder than I would've liked, but I wouldn't apologise. Seconds later the door was open and before me stood a tan boy who looked as if he had suffered years of brutal beatings. I looked him up and down then turned towards the other end of the long hallway with nothing but candles to light the way. "Follow me," I began walking and heard light and careful footsteps trailing behind mine, trying to sync up our movements I walked a bit slower.
