Soon the two teenagers were both laying on the ships deck and looking up at the stars, laying there in silence. Neither of them minded the silence, it was a little comforting since they had just spent an hour talking about whatever popped into their minds.
~Sokka~
I glanced over at Zuko, his arms were folded behind his head, his pony tail trailing above his head while his chest rose and fell slowly, calmly. This is probably the only time he's calm I looked back up at the black sky with little twinkles of white and thought of Aang, my sister, how were they doing without me? Were they ok? Were they helping take care of gramgram? Were they trying to look for me? Those thoughts clouded my mind, my breathing picked up along with my heartbeat, I was getting too worked up and I needed to calm down. I closed my eyes, breathing in deeply and slowly to let it out just as slow. Jeez, I hate it on this ship! I can't see my gramgram, I can't see my annoying sister, I can't see Aang...I'll never see my dad again..who even knows if he's still alive...no, he's still alive! He's strong and I can put up with this shit just like him!~Zuko~
This was nice, being out in the dark, gazing up at the stars with someone I'm getting close to. But then again it was terrible because he could be doing this to try and get me to let my guard down. Then he and the Avatar could take me down... fuck this is hard I groaned and sat up, leaning backwards while propping myself up on my arms "Tell me Sokka, what's the Avatar like?" He looked at me like I was insane or something, an eyebrow cocked upwards while he held a confused expression, "I've already told you this before, he's just an innocent twelve year old that barely knows how to pick up a snowball and throw it correctly" he smiled a little while talking about the Avatar. "....I'm pretty sure we're talking about two different people here, the Avatar I'm after is a fearful man who has mastered all elements, or is close to mastering them all and is able to destroy the fire nation if he so pleased" I started to get up so I could head back to my room and lay down, try to get some rest before the day actually starts. I was almost up and on my feet alone before Sokka spoke once more, "he's really not that strong, he's still learning the basics of water bending, he still just wants to play around like a child" now Sokka started to get up, sitting before turning to place his hands on the deck to stand "he's still just a kid"~3rd~
Zuko looked towards the fifteen year old in disbelief, everything he had been told about the Avatar...was being disproven by someone who has spent actual time with the very man who could lead to the fall of the fire nations rule. He didn't know what to believe at the moment. He shook his head and started to walk off, his feet gently patting against the steel of the deck "good night Sokka, get some rest before training. If you wish, we could meet out here again tonight" he was a little hesitant to say the last part, but he had fun taking with someone. He got to let out his stress, he got to confide in someone that wasn't his uncle, and more importantly he felt like he had just made a friend, someone that he could trust and let in._____________
I know none of you care, and that you most likely have no idea what this is, but I have tardive dyskinesia and it's so annoying 😂 basically what it is, is a disorder you get from taking certain types of schizophrenic medications and it causes involentary movement, mine is in the form of small twitching. Mainly it's my hands jerking forward, or my fingers. Just now it's moved to my head and it's been in my legs more recently, this isn't to get pitty or anything it's just a "this is a thing I find funny and annoying," hope you guys have a good day
