After saying their good-byes, Iroh and Sokka left to their own rooms, well, at least Iroh went to his room while Sokka retreated back to Zuko's, wanting to once again lay with his lover.
Zuko had woken up on the time that Sokka was gone, he was admittedly upset, but he figured that the 15 year old got up to lay out of the deck, looking up at the stars, thinking of his lover doing that by himself made the prince chuckle a little, so he tossed the blankets off of him, ready to get dressed a little more than just pants, but was distracted by the door opening, only to reveal the very teenager the pale teen was thinking of.
They both smiled at each other, Sokka's eyes still a little red and puffy from the conversation he had just had with Zuko's uncle "Hey, where were you?" The prince sat back down, patting the area on the bed next to him, to this, the younger of the two shrugged "I just woke up from a dream, went into the kitchen and had some tea with Uncle" he walked closer to the bed after slowly shutting the door, his body tensing up whenever the metal creaked. "What was the dream about?"
The brown haired teen was a little hesitant to tell his lover what his dream was about, but he wrapped his arms around the prince and leaned his cheek on the other's shoulder, "..I was with you, running away from my sister and Aang, but then I got chained down to the ground, and you kept running.." he looked up to the pale 16 year old "Uncle said that nightmares are just our fears and anxieties about the unknown and questions that we have" he looked back down to his legs.
Zuko, not knowing how to respond, gently rubbed the shorter man's back, kissing his head "if it comes down to it, then you should choose your family and friend" never having a stable family situation, or friends when he was younger, he really wanted Sokka to take hold of what he had, even if it meant that the young prince would be left heart broken and in shambles.
"And what if they don't want me back? What if they get so angry at me that they kick me out? What if they never want to see me again? And what if you don't wanna see me again? Then what do I do?" The young teen's tears started to well up once again, causing him to hyperventilate slightly, thinking about being left alone. "If they don't want you, then you're welcome to come back" Zuko continued to comfort the water tribesman by rubbing his back, pulling him closer, dragging the blanket over them, slowly lowering them so they were laying down "listen, just go back to sleep, clear your mind and we can talk about it more tomorrow"
Sokka looked up to Zuko with tear filled eyes, seeing a distorted image of his lover flashing him a caring smile, "we'll get this figured out, if need be..while we're in Ba Sing Se, you can sail back down to the South Pole, talk with your family about this" "bu-but.." the normally energetic of the two whimpered slightly "I want you to come with me! They can meet you, and they can see that the fire nation isn't that bad! They can be nice too! It's just Ozai that's terrible!"
"Hush, keep your voice down Sokka" Zuko pulled Sokka's hair out of its wolf tail and started to play with it "You really need to cut this" he chucked, causing the crying boy to smile faintly and nod "yeah..I know.."
Soon the two teens were laughing and joking around like normal, laying in their bed, in each other's arms, under the covers. Both feeling their eyes lids getting a little heavier with each passing hour. "Is it time to clock out?" Zuko joked, to which Sokka nodded and chuckled "oh yeah it is", he smiled while resting his head on the taller teen's chest, closing his eyes.
