𝑴𝑶𝑼𝑺𝑬𝑹꧁ 𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬 !

what if we rewrite the stars?

it ' s  not a secret i try to hide

so don't keep saying our hands are tied

you claim it  ' s not in the cards
fate is pulling you miles away
& out of reach from me

but you're here in my heart
so who can stop me if i decide
that you ' re my destiny ?

what if we rewrite the stars ?

say you were made to be mine
nothing could keep us apart
you ' d be the one I was meant to find

it ' s up to you, & it's up to me
no one can say what we get to be

so why don ' t we rewrite the stars ?
maybe the world could be ours

tonight

commencing from the start , flamepath & nightfall ' s ' cannonical ' relationship / story is romeo & juliet - esque , excluding any deaths that might occur in the literature of influence . you can say it ' s more lady & the tramp - like . two characters from different worlds meet & fall in love , but fate is not particularly friendly with neither , so they go through a lot of obstacles & face adversities that stubbornly desire to keep them apart ( aka , flamepath ' s clan & clanmates , umbra ) .

in their case , they meet when flamepath is a newly turned - paw & nightfall a young , kitten - aged kittypet by the name of augury that is always marvelling about life in the forest , perched on his garden fence ( this also has to do with his seer / oracle capabilities ; a nagging mind sensing future events involving the forest or its inhabitants ) . their relationship begins with a lot of uncertainties , but curiosities & fascinations about each other ' s lifestyles & overal personality & whatnot .

eventually it flourishes into friendship . flamepaw occassionally leaves camp at night — or whenever his friends & mentor are too busy to notice him at all — to meet with augury . their meetings usually take place by the garden wall , in the actual garden of augury ' s home , & later on transitions out of the neighbourhood & deen in the forest of the city — when augury ' s owners move away & leave him & his litter - mates .

flamepaw — from time to time — brings augury along for little excursions out into the forest . however , they ' ve stopped when an unfortunate run - in with a patrol occurs & are spotted together .

their meetings don ' t lessen as they grow older , as their kin begin to realize something was going on , for the many hours they have spent in each other ' s company begins to transform their friendship into crush , & later ; fully - spring blossomed love . even when flamepath ' s friends question his loyalty , even when augury ' s bat - shit crazy brother warns him about the dangers of the forest ( for he has his own tales of run - ins with these cats in the past ) & forbids him from seeing flamepath ( a part of umbra is actually jealous , perhaps he ' s found himself coveting for the warrior ; mayhaps not in agury ' s way , but in a more power - hungry sense ) . 

augury , being the mentally & emotionally fragily of the pair , begins to fall under the pressure of everything that is keeping them apart . it pains him to even suggest it — for he loves this tom so greatly — but perhaps it was for the greater good that they remained apart . their worlds were not meant to clash , after all . hearing this , flamepath counters . his love for augury is too powerful he could not bear to even think about leaving him , especially in the city — which he knows is perilous for even a cat who knows every nook & cranny of it like the back of his forepaw .

flamepath literally fights for their love , augury tries . but he is too afraid to fully join in , unsure of what his brother might think & / or do . his other litter - mate , silky has always been supportive of them , but they mostly stray away from this type of drama ( they try their best not to affiliate with their lunatic of a brother ) .

as last resort , flamepath suggests augury to join his clan . augury is , unsurprisingly , shocked , perplexed , & anxious . the warrior reassures him that he ' ll make sure to find him a place within the clan — knowing augury isn ' t a fighter nor a skilled hunter , but is knowledgeable of the fact that he loves kittens — & that he ' ll ensure his safety at all times . at this point in time , flamepath ' s love & devotion to augury is greater than that to his clan .

with some gentle coaxing & time , augury decides to part ways with the city & follow flamepath into quite the uncertain new life in the forest .

there ' s a lot of adversities they ' ve yet to face , a lot of wrath coming from umbra & whatnot . but eventually , they do find that happy ending ( there ' s some au ' s where a happy ending is not certain because for some reason i have quite the sadistic mind when it comes to my characters xD ) .

regardless of all of the forces that want them not to share a life together , they do manage to outrun — or at the very least outwit them .

this is unnecessarily long , but i wanted to explain more or less the story instead of just giving away bits & pieces when inspiration decides to strike me at 3am & make a drawing based on the story . : > this is one of many more i ' ll post whenever i have the time to finish them lol .
