this was supposed to be a quick flat sketch , but uh , it escalated , whoops ! this is umbra ' s new pokemon design . originally he was going to be an ugly , scruffy villain , but lately - & when i say lately i mean these last two / three months - i ' ve pretty much fallen in love with him & i ' ve been working on a character arc for him .
his pokemon version of the character has a story that ' s different from his warrior - verse self , but it does have its subtle similarities .
from an ugly , scruffy villain to an elegant , sophistcated & extravagant queer antihero - or perhaps an antagonist that eventually turns into an antihero . his personality has remained the same & is the same regardless of universe ; arrogant , conceited , selfish , deceitful , megalomanic .
