Change of Heart

Once she had dropped her bags at Alex's house, she headed over to the hospital, she arrived and was headed to the residents lounge when she spotted Jackson at the nurses station.

   "Avery!" Jackson quickly handed the tablet to a nurse then began speed walking in the opposite direction to avoid Gisele. She scoffed before catching up to him, pulling his arm preventing him from walking any further, "I get that I said we would tag team this Avery foundation thing but we never even had a discussion about who would go to three continents with your mother. I am a resident, I'm supposed to be learning not being a full time member of the Avery foundation."

    "I'm–"

She took a deep breath and waved him off, "Whatever, Do you know where my brother is?"

   "He's taking the day off, I guess," she huffed and began to walk away when Jackson grabbed her hand, "Gisele, wait."

  "Can't, I'm late," she started down the hall when she remembered Catherine had told her to give him something, she turned around while digging into her bag, "Before I forget, your mom told me to give you these," she handed him a folder, "Don't know what it is, I'm leaving now."

Gisele saw Owen coming out of the restaurant locker room and was happy she didn't have to go looking for him.

"Hunt!" She yelled, stopping him.

He turned, surprised to see her, "Shepherd, you're back."

"Yes, and I'm ready to cut."

He let out a sigh, "Shepherd you're not cleared yet."

"I am, look," she began to open and close her hand, proving that she was ready to operate again, "I'm fine, oh and here." She pulled out a paper from her pocket and handed it to him.

He skimmed over the paper and nodded approvingly then looked down at the tablet in his hand, "You're with Torres, welcome back."

A huge smile broke out on her face, "Thanks," practically skipping into the locker room where the first thing she heard were squeals before being engulfed into a hug, "I'm happy to see you too Jo."

"Thank you. Thank you," Jo said before planting a kiss on Gisele's cheek.

"What's going on?" Leah asked.

"Gisele got the board to reevaluate my punishment and she somehow convinced them to let Alec and I be a couple." Jo explained.

Leah scoffed, "How is that fair to the rest of us?"

Gisele furrowed her brows, "Because if you happen to be in a relationship with a superior let me know and I'll make it happen."

After she'd gotten dressed in her scrubs, Gisele and Jo made their way to the ER where Gisele spotted Meredith, "Hey, go ahead. I'll catch up," she told Jo before going over to her sister in law. She took a breath before talking but Meredith shut her down.

"You're gonna want to not talk me today."

She looked around in shock, she had barely been back to the states and hadn't have any time to cause any problems, "Okay but do you know where Derek is?"

"He's at home with the kids."

Gisele nodded, "Okay." She turned to join Jo but Meredith stopped her.

"Don't you feel even a bit guilty?" Meredith stated.

Gisele furrowed her brows, not having a clue what her sister in law was talking about, "Excuse me?"
