Chapter Twenty-Eight
"I'm a what?"
"A Luna."
"I'm a who?"
"A Luna."
"I'm a where?"
"A Luna?"
I shake my head at Baeden. "Sorry, that didn't work. But what the hell is a Luna?"
It was the next day, Friday. I was on my bed, cross-legged and he sat opposite me, cross-legged as well.
"It's like a female Alpha." Baeden explained. His sharp jawline distracting me. "After the mating process... you become Luna? Have I not told you this before?"
I frowned and thought about it. "I don't think so."
He sighed. "You're technically already Luna... the pack will show their loyalty to you. You can order them to do things and they'll do it."
"But I'm human!" My eyes widen. "How can I possibly order them to do anything? You guys are all wolves."
"They have to listen to you," Baeden reassured me. "I'll make them."
I rolled my eyes. "So, what's the mating process?"
"I technically have to bite you." Baeden said. "But I'm not sure how you'll take it since you're human..."
"What does the bite represent?"
Baeden smirked at me. "That you're mine."
"I don't know how I feel about that."
"It's okay-"
"I mean, I want to." I frown. "I think, but... will it hurt?"
"I don't have to mark you." Baeden tells me. "No matter how much I want to, but considering under these circumstances, I'm not sure how you'll handle it."
"I'm not sure, either," I tell him. Then I perked up. "Maybe we can ask someone!"
"Ask someone? Who are we going to ask?"
"I don't know." I mumbled. "We could just try it?"
"Listen, Beth."
My eyes snapped over to him. "Beth?"
Baeden smiled. "Yeah, a new nickname."
"Okay."
"Anyways." Baeden cleared his throat. "Once we know a little bit more information about this human - Alpha thing then we'll try it."
I sat up and cocked my head. "But you said you don't know anyone who's had this experience before."
"God, you sound so innocent." He leant forward. "But don't worry, we can find someone. There has to be someone."
I nodded. "Okay."
It went silent for a few moments and it was growing dark outside. "Did you want-"
"Do you-"
We both speak at the same time, making me go scarlet red. Good job, Liz. "You go." Baeden offered.
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to watch a movie." I rambled. "But we don't have to."
"I was gonna ask if you wanted to go out." Baeden smiled. "But we can do a movie."
"I'd really like a movie." I gave him a cheesy grin. He then leant forward and began to kiss me slowly and I enjoyed this one. I really, really did. His hand touched my jaw. I pulled away, smiling. "How was your sleep?"
