Chapter 11

Veronica's P.O.V:

Dame and I spent some time running and now we were at his pack's private beach laying on the shore when I asked Damian to let it all out, it wasn't like he started crying immediately, it was not a breakdown either, it was the pain, it was anger, it was confusion.

We've been dating from last 5 years, yeah, we are.

We haven't told anybody about this cause we thought we'll share this when the right time will come.

We have experienced everything together, the good the bad, but we didn't talk about anything this serious or emotional ever, he already told me all his concerns, now I have to make him understand his feelings and tell him what to do with them.

After he finished I took a deep breath and started speaking, he was looking expectantly at me.

"See Dame the thing is, try to think less about them and be more open to those people who you love and care, try talking and sharing your issues with us whenever you want, I'm not pressuring you I'm just saying that try to deal with your emotions if not alone then tell someone how you are feeling don't just pile it all up in your mind." I went on.

"Sometimes you should let it out when you need to, because if you keep that in, you might burst out at the wrong time and end up hurting yourself, if you think being vulnerable makes you weak then you're wrong, I won't say there are no people who take advantage of someone's vulnerability but we are your family and families don't judge, your parents made mistakes, big ones, they deserve your coldness." I continued.

"You must be thinking why is this stone cold bitch teaching me to let it out when she is the most secretive among us...so nope I'm not secretive, I have you, Lucas, Austin & my sisters even I used to call King sometimes whenever I felt low, trust me sharing your worry feels good sometimes."

"You are 100% right about the family sticking together, yes they do and I agree with your point, that they can make you three go against each other that is a possibility but who can save you from this problem...you three, talk to them, tell them your concerns they will understand trust me for once and keep this in mind we still don't know their intentions so we can't just assume that they are here to split you guys up."

"Maybe they have some explanation for us, Ric and King are your brothers they won't do anything like that okay? you've faced everything together, the bond you share is stronger than anybody's planning and plotting, you guys have the strongest blood bond stupid so relax now we'll face it together, all of us, whatever happens tomorrow okay?" I asked him.

He let my words sink in and then nodded slowly, I squeezed his hand lightly to reassure him, he smiled at me and I returned the gesture.

"But still you know me very well, and you know that I avoid any kind of serious feelings just because I have had suffered because of my seriousness, the thing that made me hate being serious and why I birthed this cocky and non-serious Damian was.." He trailed off with a sigh, "it was getting attached to someone, someone who will leave me, you know very well what I'm talking about, I am full of ego maybe that is why I just can't stay heart broken cause I don't want others to see me vulnerable, maybe that is why I decided to be like this, non-serious." He continued.

"I don't know what it is, but I try to avoid those feelings cause they give me pain in many different ways, the people I loved were always taken away from me, brutally." A tear left his eye, "so I made a promise with myself that I won't be serious like this again, cause first; I can't handle it, and second; I don't wanna let everyone in..the old Dame is dead and he has buried his sadness along with his corpse, I don't want to dig his grave again." He said looking at me with the most sad look, he was still smiling bitterly but I knew he was broken inside.
