Dashiel's POV

Pinagaaralan ko ang mga papers na binigay ng dad tungkol sa business when I heard my phone rang. Kumunot ang noo ko habang inaabot. I know Steph and Tim is in Boracay next week uuwi sila ng Bacolod to visit Steph's relatives. Ano nanaman kayang nangyari? Last time she was calling because of summer. Kinabahan ako. I filled my lungs with air before I accepted the call.

"Hel.." Humahagulgol sya sa kabilang linya. Shit!

"Take me. Take me away." Napapikit ako ninamnam ko ang bawat kataga.

"What happened?" Sinubukan ko syang pakalmahin pero talagang hindi nya mapigil ang iyak nya. Hindi nya sinagot ang tanong ko parang pinipiga ang puso ko sa bawat hikbi nya. She's having a hard time breathing. Kaya ayaw ko syang umiiyak eh. Mahirap patahanin kahit halos hindi na syang makahinga. She rarely cry but when she does it's like a waterfall.

"Where is Timmy?"

"Hello. Dashiel! Please fetch me. I'm in boracay. I don't want to be in here. Please take me away." Sagot nya na parang hindi narinig ang tanong ko.

"I'll be there pack your things." I have decided kukunin ko sya.

Nag palit ako ng shirt at kinuha ang susi sa kotse. I took my jacket and went out. Binilisan ko ang kilos. I called my ninong miel to borrow he's helicopter.

"Dash anak." Bati nya sakin.

"Nong. Hindi na ako magpapaligoy ligoy available po ba ung chopper nyo? May emergency si Steph sa boracay eh." Close ako sa ninong miel ko dahil wala syang anak na lalaki at dahil closest cousin sya ng daddy.

"Oh. What happened to Steph? Huo, ari di subong sa San Carlos. Ara ka da sa downtown haw?" (Oo, nandito ngayon sa San Carlos. Nasa downtown ka ba?)

"Huo, hulmon ko tani nong kay emergency gid pwede ta ka land sa rest house mo?" (Oo, hiramin ko sana kasi emergency talaga pwede bang mag land sa rest house mo?)

"Yes, ari di si Darwin. He can pilot for you." (Yes, nandito si Darwin.)

"Okay good I don't think I can fly mejo kabado nong."

"Ikaw talaga basta si Steph para kang mabilis ka pa sa alas kuatro!"

"Alam mo naman nong eh. I'll be there in an hour."

"It's a two hour drive from downtown to here baka madisgrasya ka sa gagawin mo. Your no good to Steph dead. Take care. Ipapahanda ko ang chopper."

"Thank you nong. I owe you so much. Pag kinasal kami ninong ka po ulit." He was laughing as he ended the call.

I concentrated in driving. Tama ang ninong. I'm no good to her dead. But I gotta be there fast. Hindi ko maiwasang mag isip kung bakit sya iiyak ng ganon. I remembered her call about summer kanina. Napahigpit ang hawak ko sa manibela. Ano ba kasing ginawa ni Tim. I know about summer. I was in fact he's wingman. But this time hindi para makuha ang babae. Kundi para lumayo sa kanya.
I would sacrifice anything just to keep my princess happy. The more I give, the more it seems that I'm not good enough. It's through the pain that I know how much I love her, when each time my heart breaks, it breaks only for her. I never hated her for not loving me, but I hate her for making me fall even more when I'm trying to let her go. It's sad to think that she will never be mine, but it's sadder to realize that I know it all from the start. For a heart that's been torn, there's not much you can do but to understand. I love her so much that if God grants me a second chance at rebirth, I'd go searching for her all over again. Quarter pass 8 when I arrived at ninong's place. Agad akong pinapasok ng mayordoma.

"Dash dumeretso ka na sa likod. Naka ready na ang sasakyan mo. Akin na ang susi ng pick up mo at ng maipark ni Leandro." Ani Manang Nita.

"Eto po. Salamat Manang."

"Uuwi ba kayo ngayong gabi ni Steph?"

"Depende po sa lagay ni Steph."

"Ginoo! Anong natabo sa bata nga to?" (Dyos ko! Anong nangyari sa batang yun?)

"Hindi ko pa po alam eh. Pero wag po kayong magalala okay lang po sya. Mauna na ako Manang Nita." Nagmamadali akong tumakbo palabas.

Naabutan ko ang ninong na nagbibilin kay Darwin.

"Oh. Dash eto ang susi ng kotse naka park sa rest house. You'll be Darwin's co-pilot. Sakay na sige na at hinahanap ka na non." He teasingly smiled.

"Salamat Ninong." I hiked up the chopper. Nilingon nya ako at nginitian. Inabot ko ang inabot nyang aviation headset at sinuot ito. We did our usually stay routin. He raised the collective to make the helicopter rise. I adjusted the throttle as he raise the collective to increase speed. In a few seconds were cruising 2000ft on our way to her.
