"I think he's not even cute, Kiles." Tamarah explained as we got out of the classroom. Turns out, Mrs. Thompson couldn't keep our attentions long enough as everybody was too busy about the news so she dismissed us 20 minutes earlier.
"Why not? I mean, if you haven't noticed, almost every boy here is 101% cute. Don't you know that?" I huffed, trying to let everything sink in.
It's just pretty hard to accept the information we all just received. Who wouldn't make a fuss about it anyway? Pretty much everyone is into the issue.
As we walk passed by every group of peers, we would hear something like "I wonder who the mystery boy is" or "I'm going to bet my life that he's cute."
I clasped my books tightly, taking a glance at the people around us at the corner of my eye. "Don't you think they're a little exaggerating on the new boy stuff?" I asked Tamarah
"Come on," she wined. "In case you didn't pay attention, the previous exchange students were drop-dead gorgeous. For instance, Luke Dumarni, the one from..." she snapped her fingers repeatedly, trying to recall which place he was from.
"From Belgium." I rolled my eyes and smirked.
"Yep! You got it!"
"Where do you want to get lunch anyway?"
~~~
"I'm home!" I yelled as I slammed the door shut behind me.
"Well, it's about time," My brother, Riven, replied. "Dad said both of us will move out next weekend."
"What?"
"Look, I tried to talk it out for your sake. But they weren't just having it." He explained as he fished out a carton of orange juice from the fridge.
Great. Every dinner, they always talk about this stuff. Riven was so psyched about it, but me? I hate the idea so much that I couldn't even finish my food during the meal. But I always say I'm not into moving out of the house. I love it here, and who would wanna be stuck with Riven?
"Speaking of which, where are they?" I asked, joining him at the kitchen.
"They went out to look for an apartment." He chugged all the oj he's got and wiped his upper lip with the back of his hand.
I seriously need to talk more about this matter to him.
I went to my room and changed my clothes into a neon tank top and sweatpants then headed in the living room to chitchat with my awesome brother about moving out.
"You need to pack your things. Four days left and we will be on our own." He clapped and threw his fist in the air, his very short bangs causing to float.
"Why are you so excited?" I asked while popping a grape onto my mouth.
"Duh. All my mates are living on their own! And they like to pick on me whenever we hang out!" He propped himself up the chair and went to the sofa. I followed him and sat adjacent to him. "Also, mom said we could invite a friend over so we could share the apartment bills."
"But I don't know who I'm inviting to move in." I groaned. "But don't even think about asking a girl or you might end up making out in bed." I warned.
But I will never let that happen anyways.
Not that I care but he's my brother and we'll be living together for the first time but this time, alone-except when he makes someone else move in with us then that would be awesome.
But I still fail to see the awesomeness whenever a girl comes top live with us.
Not long after, our parents arrived. Time check; six thirty. Perfect timing for dinner.
