So after I looked for a purple top, I laid in my bed and think. What does he want? It's clearly a he, based from his voice. Or was he using a voice changer app? Am I that stupid to actually follow what he told me? Considering that this was a little weird. If Riven was in my place, he'd probably yell at him. I checked my phone and it has 6 missed calls. I totally forgot that I have put it in silent mode. So I tapped the screen, and tapped the number. Okay, I said. It was the same number that called me earlier. I called him to see if he would pick up and luckily he did.
"Hello?" That deep voice resonated. I jolt up from my bed and walk towards the window, feeling very nervous as I try to remember the voice. It sure sounds very familiar but I just really can't think of someone.
"What do you want from me?" I asked him, pausing in front of my full-body mirror. At this very moment, I kind of appreciated my hideous mirror. I resented it so much that I could barely look at it. But now I think it's my new best friend.
I hear him sigh and pause for a little bit. I figured maybe he's still trying to think of something to say.
"Chill, I'm not a bad person," he chuckled. "I just want to be your friend." he finally added.
I smiled a little. "Okay, but if you want to be my friend, you have to tell me your name though." I rolled my eyes, and walked towards my window again. And as I shoved the curtain sideways I could see a couple fighting at the next block. I laughed a little because they look like they were playing charades.
"Hello? Still there?" the guy I'm talking to in the phone asked. Shit, I forgot about him.
"Yeah, sorry, so what's your name?" I firmly asked.
"I already told you," he heaved. "You weren't listening, were you?"
Oh my god Kiley how can you be so stupid?
"Sorry I--"
"See you tomorrow." he ended the call with just that. I curse our two neighbors for keeping my attention away from my phone. I hate this. Now, I will sleep with anxiety. Time check, it's a quarter to 9 o'clock. I went outside to get a glass of water. As I passed by Riven's room, I saw him on the phone, smiling like an idiot. I think he spotted me pass by as he ran over to me.
"Kiles!" He called.
"Yeah?"
"I just got a call from the guy who's moving in with us." Oh great. As if I'm that excited.
"What did he say?" I asked as we both rounded the corner into our kitchen. Please tell me he's not moving in. I'm still in the middle of negotiating with Chris' mom. I can't believe she still remembers that party incident 2 years ago.
"It's final," he brought his hands together, then threw them in the air, landing on both of his sides. "I'll be helping him out with his stuff tomorrow, do you think you could lend me your car after class?"
"Are you kidding me?" I said as I pour a glass of water, kicking the fridge close with my foot. "How am I supposed to go home? Where's your car anyway?"
"Take the bus, kid. Or ask Fiona to bring you here. I don't want to ruin my car." He ruffled my hair with his right hand and skipped away. Thanks a lot. I'd rather walk.
Walking back to my room I wonder why Riven's referring him as "the guy". Why can't he just say the name? I mean, I barely know anyone from the campus, so I think it's okay to say his name. Like I even care.

"Good morning, kid." Riven greeted happily, untying his pink apron. "I made you pancakes. Your favorite."
I hurdled in one of the tall-chairs, trying to comb my hair out. "Is this your way of allowing you to take my car?" I lazily asked him. I turn around to see that it's 6:45, I have around 30 minutes to get ready, and 20 minutes to reach school in time.
"Technically, yes." He sat across me. "C'mon. It's just for tonight. We'll be home before 8:00 o'clock. Don't worry." He stabbed a pancake with his fork.
Suddenly, I have thought of a sly plan. "Okay, as long as you tell the entire campus that I am your sister. Don't you know they're calling me a slut because I live with you?" I also stabbed another pancake. "And most of them think your my boyfriend. Ew."
"Not a problem at all." He agreed.
"Well, thanks for the meal. But I gotta get to school now. And get ready too. You can take a ride with me."
After 30 long minutes of getting ready, we are now ready to go.
"Hey, shotgun picks the music." Riven reminded as he opens the door. The rest of the ride going to school was fun. I like having to drive Riven to school, he always picks the music. He's an avid fan of Taylor Swift, and it doesn't bother me any bit. I mean, who doesn't like Taylor Swift, right?
It's 10 minutes to 8:00 o'clock, and the last school bell rang. Meaning, it's time to go inside and get ready for the day. I was walking alongside Riven going in. He has his football with him always, and he keeps on throwing and playing it around as he walks to the school building. Of course, a lot of people glued their eyes on us but I didn't care at all. But here comes Mika Glasswood who stopped in front of us with folded arms. Talk about confidence.
"Riven, who is this?" She asked pointing a finger at me.
I was shocked for a moment, and everybody was looking at us too. Like literally everybody.
"Babe, she--" Riven stopped playing and just held onto his football.
"Oh, so you're cheating on me with this low-life right here? C'mon, Riven, how can you stoop down her level" She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Look at how she dresses up herself? Isn't it obvious? She's nothing but trash."
I did not know what exactly happened next but all I know is that I punched that bitch in the face hard enough to knock her two front teeth. I almost fainted but Riven's loud voice brought me back to reality.
He stood in the middle of one of the cement tables that was built along the path way towards the building. "Listen up! If I see anyone of you hurt my sister. I'm going to hunt you down and kill you." He threw his beloved football hard to Jase Foster, hard enough to actually send him flying off.
He jumped off the table towards where, I assume, his girlfriend--or now ex-girlfriend was. "And as for you, we are officially done." He scoffed.
So I'm sorry guys, this update took longer to be uploaded. I was on Hiatus. But now, I'm back! Also, I changed the book cover. Might update again within this week. Ciao!
