Katrina Reed
---------------------------
I stood there star struck by his last sentence. Alpha of the New Moon Pack. The last good pack in the world. We had finally made it here and yet here I am standing with 2 of their men hostage, threatening their Alpha. I needed proof that he was telling the truth.
I gave him a challenging look. "Prove it."
"I can show you, if you untie my men. Ill bring you up to my office."
I went over and untied the ropes around the men even though they were still knocked out. Emma was standing their gawking about what just happened still.
It's not that I didn't believe him. It was that I already trusted him. And I couldn't let that happen. I couldn't trust someone I had just met. I felt forced to be skeptical. It was almost to good to be true. If he was who he said he was, I didn't think he would try to hurt us.
He then turned and started walking up the stairs, expecting us to follow. Emma and I looked at each other and I started walking upstairs. At this point, I was sure he was going to ban us from his land at the least. Maybe even kill us, or keep us in his dungeon. Who knew what he would do with us. I had challenged him. But I wasn't one to trust someone after minutes of knowing him.
My wolf was still dying to be let out. I'm not really sure why. She just felt really anxious, and wouldn't stop pacing. She didn't know why she felt this way either. It was a weird feeling and I couldn't understand why I was feeling this. I had never felt it before. It was probably just excitement to being at a new pack, or anxiousness of being around people we didn't know.
We walked up the stairs to see the ginormous house, which I assumed was the pack house. There were people all over. There were rooms scatter all over. There was a game room to the right of us and it looked like a huge pool. And past that there was just rooms. And on the left there was a weight room and farther down, it looked like a huge meeting room. At the front of the house was lots of old looking glass windows. They were beautiful. And there were two wooden doors, with some glass at the top. Walking in there was a stair going up the second floor on both sides of the house. And from the looks of it there was one or two other stairways to the other floors. In between the stairs was a opened hallway leading to a huge living room. And past that there was an even bigger kitchen. It was ginormous! There was about 3 of everything that would be in a normal kitchen. There was also a island in the middle with stools around it. I was amazed.
"My parents owned this house before I was Alpha. They really liked to make sure the pack was spoiled." Jax said looking around the house.
"Its so beautiful here." I said
There was a few people around from the pack trying to see what was going on and who we were, but most didn't really notice us. There were a lot of members in the weight room, and lots of teenagers in the game room.
I noticed that Jax was walking away so a I jogged real quick to catch up with him, Emma following behind me.
"Jax, we brought the girls belongs up to the rooms. We also got everything else you asked for." The man from the car said. He then looked over at me, and then Emma and smiled, leaving his eyes on Emma a little to long.
"Hi, I'm Shawn" He said smiling, and reaching out to shake Emma's hand.
"Emma" She said returning a small smile. She then shook his hand and let go.
"I'll see you around?" He asked
"Maybe" She said with a teasing glint, Shawn then smiled and walked away.
