1 week later

I'm sitting on the couch, watching Shawn play his game on the TV, with Emma sitting beside him. Emma and Shawn have gotten really close over the last week, and any time Shawn isn't busy with pack business, he's at Emma's side. They bickered at each other all the time and were like an old married couple.

Jax hasn't talked to very much since we went out to eat a week ago. But I'm not worried, because they have been busy with evil wolves wandering into town, and in their territory. They have to do border runs hourly, and they always have someone on each side of the territory for watch.

Today is the day that we will finally have our blood initiation, since it was missed the first time because of Emma breaking her leg.

I saw Jax walking towards us and smiled. I miss seeing Jax. We talked when we could, but he's busy all the time. Looking at him, I noticed how worn down he looked. He had dark bags under his eyes, and his hair looked like he had run his hands through it a million times. His eyes looked tired, but immediately when he saw me, his eyes lit up. I briefly smiled at him, and he smiled back. He walked over to me and sat on the couch beside me.

"Hey, how are you?" I asked

"Tired. We caught two more wolves last night that ran into town. I spent all night interrogating them, so I didn't sleep at all. I don't know what it is but they are all over the place. Its like they are searching for something." He said.

I instantly felt guilty. This was my fault. They are looking for me, and I'm risking the lives of everyone in the pack by being here. It has been eatting me away inside because I am the cause of this. And if something happened to the people here, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. But I can't find it in myself to leave. Emma looks so happy, and I love the people here. This is were I feel that I belong. I don't know what I'm going to do, because I don't want to put the people in this pack in jeopardy because of me.

I snap out of my thoughts and see Jax waving his hand in front of my face.

"Katrina? We lost you for a little bit there." Jax said laughing.

"Sorry I was just thinking." I said.

"Come on, I have to show you something." He said standing up, and offering me his arm.

I wrapped my arm around his bicep and let him lead us. We started walking up the staircase, and into his office. I let go of his arm, and waited by the door. I didn't want to intrude or anything.

"I had this specially made for you, for the ceremony tonight." He said, taking out a box.

He walked over and handed me the box. I looked up at Jax, and then back down at the box. I slowly opened the lid. There was something wrapped in tissue paper. I unwrapped the tissue paper and was stunned. It was a dress. I set the box down, and lifted up the dress, wanting to see the full thing. It was a long, red colored dress. It had lacing on the chest area. It was beautiful. I put the dress down, and looked up at Jax. I walked over, and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me back.

"Thank you so much. Its beautiful." I said, still hugging him.

"You're very welcome."

After a few more seconds I pulled back. We stared into each others eyes, not wanting to look away.

"Be there at 7 o'clock" He said, looking away.

I grabbed the beautiful dress and ran to my room. It was 3 o'clock already, and I had already showered, so I went into my bathroom and grabbed my curling iron. Carly had come to my room the other day and showed me how to use it, and how to do a few makeup styles.
