Jax Night

I stood at the bottom of the staircase, waiting for Katrina to arrive. Pack members were surrounded around me. They all were talking about the same thing. Why we were here. I was standing next to Shawn and Emma, and Carly. Shawn and Emma had gotten a lot closer in the last few weeks.

They were always next to each other, laughing and smiling. Shawn always had a twinkle in his eye when he was around her. I was jealous of their relationship. But I knew Katrina was not ready for something like that. But neither was I. With all the stuff going on, I knew we would not be able to have a steady relationship. As much as we are around each other, we still don't know very much about each other. After the night we went for a run together, and we both went up into our rooms, I knew that she needed her space. I gave her a week. And boy was it hard. She stayed in her room most of the time, only coming out when she needed food. Or to workout. She's barely even talked to Emma. But Emma has Shawn now, and hasn't really been around anyone other than him.

I noticed Katrina walking down the staircase. And whoa. She had my wolf howling in joy. Her blonde hair flowing perfectly, and her makeup to a minimum. She was so beautiful.

Some pack members also noticed she was walking down. Everyone stopped talking and looked up at her, expecting her to say something. I walked over to the staircase, and walked up the stairs, and stood beside her. I knew Katrina needed comfort in doing this. It was hard for her to put her trust in us.

"Today we have important information to share with all of you. Being a pack, you all need to respect this secret, and do not share it with anyone outside of our pack. And if any of you do share this information with anyone, you will be sentenced to death. Do all of you understand?" I asked.

The crowded blustered out in many agreeing people.

Katrina stepped forward.

"My pack was destroyed by evil. And as you have seen, I have a white wolf and purple eyes, meaning I don't look like the average wolf. And those were the things that caused me to get captured while on the run with my sister, Emma. I was taken to Alpha Lea, and he claimed that I was his." She paused.

My jaw dropped. My blood was boiling just by those words. Katrina was not his. That selfish, ignorant asshole thought that he could do that?

"I was kept in a dungeon. Thankfully, before he could try and mate with me, Emma and I escaped. We ran, while they chased us. They eventually found us every time we stopped. Eventually we stumbled upon your town, and now here we are." Katrina paused again, looking at me, with a sad smile, thinking about her past.

I knew she left out a lot of the grueling details of her capture. I know that all of the bad wolves weren't nice. Especially the leader. I knew that he was heartless. And gave no care about anything other than power. Just thinking about what he may have done to her had my blood boiling.

'When I went into a coma, the moon goddess spoke to me. She told my wolf that I was meant to save the werewolf society. Also that I would be gifted with special abilities on my journey. So far I have discovered 2 of these gifts. Of course, at first I thought she was lying. But then I realized what I could do with my powers." There was a silence as everyone took in what my mate had just exposed to them.

I heard one of my pack members gruff, named Adam, and said, " Bullshit. That's not possible." And with those words I was ready to lunge. But Shawn held me back from doing something would regret.

I walked over to Katrina, and engulfed her hand into mine. The pack members looked at me with questioning looks. And many with happiness in their eyes that I had found someone for me.
