Chapter 6: Crushes

Jax Night

"My name is Jax Night, and I am the alpha of the only good pack left in the world, the New Moon Pack." I said with pride in my voice.

The older girl looked at me surprised. She then concealed her surprised and gave me a challenging look.

"Prove it." She challenged me.

If anyone else would have said that to me, they wouldn't see sunlight again. But this girl was different. She was a spitfire, but didn't anger me. I only was curious to know more about her. From her distrust in me, I assume she has a lot of experience with the evil, and not good experiences. It's weird, shes standing here holding two of my men hostage, yet I know she won't do anything to them. I feel no threat from her at all.

As a response, I said " I can show you, if you untie my men. Ill bring you up to my office and we can talk there."

She gave me a skeptical look, then went over and untied my men. The other girl, who I learned from my Beta was named Emma, was still staring at me in shock.

I turned and starting walking upstairs, expecting them to follow me. I walked up and opened the door to the basement and walked up. My pack house was one of my prides. You could say my pack was a bit spoiled.

When we walked up, Emma and Katrina where amazed. You could see it in their eyes. They both stood there gawking at the huge pack house. They looked around over and over again trying to take everything in.

I looked over at Katrina, who's name I also learned from my beta, and all I could think about was how beautiful she was. Her long blonde hair that was messy, but still perfect, glimmering in the sun. She had tan skin, and gorgeous green eyes.

"My parents owned this house before I was Alpha. They really liked to make sure the pack was spoiled." I said looking around the house, thinking of all the memories that had happened in this house.

I grew up in this house. Running around, playing hide and seek with Shawn. Back to when the only worry was not losing a game of hide and seek.

"Its so beautiful here." Katrina said smiling at me with a sparkle in her eyes.

Some of the pack members had noticed that there were new people around, but others really didn't care. Some of the members were standing around to see what they were like. The pack was alerted before hand that we may have intruders. The girls had noticed and started to look around at everyone.

I started walking to me office again, even though the girls were still gawking, but I assumed they would notice my absence and follow. I heard footsteps tapping up behind me and knew that they had caught up.

I then noticed my Beta, Shawn, and he said, " Jax, we brought the girls belongs up to their rooms. We also got everything else you asked for." Shawn then saw Katrina and then Emma. He looked at Emma for a little to long and I knew right then that he liked her. Shawn had always been one to act like a player, but he was always waiting for the right person that he really felt something with, and was perfect for him.

"Hi, i'm Shawn" He said smiling, and putting out his hand for Emma to shake.

"Emma" She said smiling back, and taking his hand.

"Ill see you around?" Shawn said with a hopeful look.

"Maybe" Emma said with a teasing glint in her eyes.

"Does Shawny have a crush?" I said threw the mind link to Shawn, with a quick wink, hoping no one noticed it.

Shawn had a surprised look, and then his face went red and he stuck out his tongue at me in a childish manner, and then started walking away.
